My little LillyBo Quilt is all finished and packed neatly inside its little tote bag.
The 3 dollies are tucked in the pocket ready to go - and what a lot of excited giggling and smiles there have been - and that's just from me!!!!
Here is the finished quilt complete with its LillyBo Quilt label that says who made it, where and when and who it belongs to when it is eventually given to one of the little ones in hospital.
I have loved every minute of making it.
I think that watching Annie's little grand children grow up has made me truly appreciate how lucky we are to have healthy little ones around us. So every quilt goes with love and the very best wishes to each little child who will receive one.
If you would like to see more about Jo and how she is helping promote LillyBo Quilts at Abakhan fabric shop in Liverpool, then follow this link LillyBo Quilts. (It's worth a look!!)
Of course, in the process I have learned lots and each quilt gets better and better.
I even think I might invest in a bit more equipment to help make the quilt making process simpler.
Our friends who helped us last week with the bag making have all the right gear and Annie and I were quite taken with the big cutting board and rotary cutter.
So, I shall be surfing the web for a good price for them!!
Well, that's what made me smile this week.
How about you?
If you want to join in then follow this link to Annie's Friday Smile post on her "A stitch in time" blog.
Have a good weekend

Just a few cheery little faces to greet you today!!
I spent fun day Monday making this little bag ready to pop my next quilt in for Jo's LillyBo Quilt scheme. It really has taken off and Jo has received lots of beautiful quilts, many of which are now being used and loved by the children in hospital in Liverpool.
(Follow this link for more info. . . . LillyBo Quilts)

So on my desk today is the quilt - only partly made - I forgot to collect the wadding from Annie on Monday so it will have to wait until I pop down to hers again.
I liked the little dolly collages so I am putting one in each corner, to go with the one on the bag.
Then I found that I had three little dancing dollies left from the ones I made earlier so I will pop those in the pocket. Some poorly little one will have fun with them, I am sure.
Well, that's me for today.
I hope you are all well and making the most of the bright Summer days.
Thanks for calling by and if linking up with more crafters sounds like fun then pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in!

Good morning all!
Maxine made it for me and I decided to pop it in a box frame to go in my sewing room.
I love it and it has a lovely message inside so worth saving and making something special with it.
And lastly - below is my latest LillyBo quilt for Jo's "LillyBo quilts for poorly children scheme". (see here)
Annie had all the fabrics, so it was just a case of using bits and bobs creatively!
I even found enough to make a matching tote bag and little bear.
I think someone will love them don't you!!
Short and sweet today.
Thanks for popping in here.
I love to know what you think and so many folk leave kind comments.
I will try to visit as many desks as I can - but I have a day with the twins tomorrow - great fun - so will maybe take a while to get round this week.
Have a good week.
x Jo
I hope you are all well and that you are making the most of the occasional sunny day we have been having.
Today my table is awash with white linen bunting.
I started making it last year and even sold one or two lengths.
Yesterday I found it lurking in the bottom of my "needs finishing" drawer.
I thought I might add hand stitching to each flag - a bit like my crazy quilting square on the left.
Then I am going to sell them.
At the back of my photo is this little picture.

Good morning all!
Just a few more of the lovely ATCs that have arrived here over the last week - er plus maybe a few I recognise from last week's post, now I am looking again!! Oh and in the foreground the little poem that came with the one from Shaz in Oz - what a creative bunch you are!!
Each little ATC is so different and I find all the techniques fascinating. Some came in equally beautiful little cards with tags etc. Brilliant!
Thanks lots everyone.
Now, last week I told you that no crafting had taken place on my table - a rarity, as some of you kindly pointed out!
BUT.....

This week I have actually finished the wee mousey quilt and bag to send of to Jo for her LillyBo Quilt appeal. If you think you would like to make a little quilt for a poorly child then follow this link to the LillyBo Quilt blog and find out more.
And finally.....
These little sparrows were helping themselves to a wash and brush up in my bird bath today.
There are some young ones in my garden clamouring for food too.
I have also seen young chaffinches and a baby robin this week.

Pheasant Update!!!!
No pics yet - I don't want to disturb them!
Just to say we think we can see 7 baby pheasant chicks in the nest - success!!!!!
Mother P is clucking around and keeps tucking them under her fluffed up wings.
It is totally amazing after the awful weather she has had to endure over the last 25 days since she started sitting on her 11 eggs.
I will try and snap a few pics if she brings them out into the garden.
Hope she doesn't sneak them off into the field before I get a good look.
For those who enjoyed my mousey giggle yesterday.......
Here he is with his baseball cap on.
AND
Here is the tote bag to go with my latest LillyBo Quilt.
Have a great weekend.

What's On Your Workdesk Weddingday
He He ... Just a little joke Annie and I came up with....get it.....WOYWWeddingday!!!
We thought we might design a few lovely weddding bits and bobs for the blog shop so I said I would post a few wedding related pics for our WOYWW post this week.
So here goes....
These are Max's invites and favour bags that she designed and made herself.
This is the wedding card that I made for them.
This is one of Max's photos of buttons and lace that I sent off to Vistaprint to be made into notelets.
I think they look really good and make perfect cards to go with our crafty activities.
So keep a look out - Annie and I will be making some special event/wedding items over the next few weeks and no doubt we will blog them as we finish them.
Just a few other pics to share today...
This is the gorgeous hand dyed silk scarf that Jo of Jozart made for me.
Each of the LillyBo quilters have been sent a little gift or two by Jo - so kind Jo, thanks lots - we love them.
The little envelope contains my ATC swap from Jo but I have to wait until the 4th WOYWW birthday to open it!!! Email me if you would like to swap ATCs with me... twiglet517@hotmail.co.uk.
If you want to know all about the swap - follow this link to Julia's Stamping Ground.
My next quilt is on the go - I ran out of red fabric so I am waiting for some to come in the post.
Well that's enough from me for today.
Thanks to all who call here each week and leave lovely comments.
Have a great week.

Just a little bit more quilty fabric on my table today.
Annie found the mousey bits and bobs and now I just have to find a few more pieces to combine with them.
The pile on the right hand side will probably make a nice girly quilt.
Jo has blogged about them on her LillyBo Quilt blog.
It's wonderful to hear how they have been given to the poorly little ones at hospital in Liverpool by the CHICS group.
My latest finished quilt is below - I found the bright butterfly fabric and thought it would be perfect for a really cheery quilt and bag.
Of course I had to make a little fabric butterfly to pop in the pocket.
I hope you are all keeping cosy in this wild wintery weather.
I love the bright sunny days that go with the flurries of snow but that North wind is pretty chilly!!
Have a great week and thanks for popping in to see what I have been up to.
I will be round to visit as many desks as possible later.
Come over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in!

WOYWW - lots to snoop!
Good morning all.
I snapped my table laden with goodies yesterday when the sunshine was beaming through my window. It was a very frosty foggy morning but the afternoon was just the most perfect day.
Lots for all my WOYWW friends and others to snoop today....
My latest LillyBo Quilt is finished and so is the little tote bag for it to go in.
One of Annie's kind customers saw what we were doing and gave us this gorgeous little beanie kitten to pop in the pocket. There are some lovely folk about aren't there.
In the centre you can see the latest little knitted hoodie that I have just finished for my neighbour's new grandson. I bought a snazzy pair of jeans to go with it for him. Babies don't seem to wear pastels much these days do they?
In the front of the picture is the satin wedding horseshoe made for one of our blog buddies.
So, as you see, I have had a busy week. Thank goodness that cold has gone and I have bounced back to full strength!!!
I hope you are all well and enjoying life.
I am determined to get around a few more WOYWW desks today so I am nipping over nice and early to Julia's Stamping Ground to see what she is up to first.
have a good week.

WOYWW
Last week was a busy one.
We had fun at a stitchy workshop on Wednesday. I crafted with Max on Thursday and helped look after the delightful little twins on Friday. So, I was a bit slow and checking out the WOYWW desks that the lovely Julia linked us up to last week.
Hopefully I will do better this week!!
In spare moments I have been finishing my third Lillybo Quilt.
If you like cats, you might like this one. It has a little bag to carry it in and by the end of the week I hope to have made a little sockdoll cat to pop in the pocket.
My evenings have been spent knitting a chunky cardi for one of my great nieces.
It is in Sirday Chunky Crofter which has knitted up nicely and looks quite funky I think.
Now I need her to try it on and make sure its fits before I knit one for her younger sister.
SEWING MACHINE FOR SALE
Maxine brought this little Toyota 5000 sewing machine over for me to check out at the weekend.
It seemed in good condition and I suggested putting it on ebay for collection only. - maybe £35. If anyone is interested email me. It would probably make quite a good first machine - it's sturdy and has it's original handbook and toolbox with extra feet etc.
OK folks - short and sweet.
Thanks for popping by - have a great week.

Good morning all!
Tuesday was wild windy snowstorms and sunny spells.
Let's hope Wednesday is a bit better.
To brighten your day here is a pic of my latest quilt and bag.......
Straightforward patchwork isn't really my thing but I just loved doing the little collages of characters from the printed fabric I used down the sides of the quilt.
I even made a little cat to pop in the pocket but forgot to take a pic.
Maybe Jo will show you when she blogs them on her Lillybo Quilts blog later this week.
We have had fun making them and I think we may still have enough fabric for a couple more.
We are keeping a look out for interesting panels - maybe to suit older children.
Can you see my little collage/embroidered cards.
I just fancied doing something different and I have a friend's birthday coming up.
I will show them in greater detail next week.

Lastly, Annie had a new little helper on Monday!
This little sock dolly is just helping clean up before she set off to Jo of Jozarty with the pink quilt I made last week ( scroll down to my Friday post if you want a peep). She quickly zapped round Annie's workdesk with the mini Henry and then jumped in the tote bag ready to go in the parcel of Lillybo Quilts. I hope she finds a good home with one of the poorly little children in the Liverpool area.
Ok folks - lets pop over to the lovely Julia's desk and see what she has been doing this week.
Have a great week and thanks for popping in to see me and even becoming a follower in some cases ( I notice I have a few new followers so Hi to you!!)

Finished by Friday and smile!
Fridays seem to come round just as quick as Wednesdays!!
Annie and I worked hard on our quilts and here is my first one finished.
(She is, of course, Wonderwoman and has probably finished her second one by now!)
I bought a metre of pink fabric to trim it up but the rest is all from our fabric stashes.
AND just to complet the project, I made a patchwork bag to hold the quilt.
Bright and cheery isn't it.
It will be going to Jo soon. She has set up the Lillybo Quilts project for poorly children.
So if you fancy having a go making one then just click on this link to Lillybo Quilts and find out all the details.
This adorable tiny bear came scrambling through my postbox last week.
Look at him sitting next to a thimble showing you all just how small he is.
His name is Tanner and he came all by himself by plane from Canada!
He was beautifully hand felted by a very talented lady - Veronica of The Bearister Bookcase
We swapped crafty items and Vee made him specially for me - I love him.
He has been helping me choose colours and patterns for my quilts - he soon realised how indecisive I was and stepped in to make a few BIG decisions - lol!
He certainly puts a smile on my face - I hope he does the same for you.
Join in with Annie's Friday smile - follow the link here.

Well here we are again - where did last week go?
This what I was up to on fun day Monday down at Annies.
We are busy making quilts for the Lillybo quilt project.
Now you all know how we love to sew but can you believe, neither of us have ever made a proper quilt before?
So - after a lot of plotting, planning and decision making we sorted out our fabric stash.
Then we added a little more to it at the fabric sale on Saturday.
On Monday I spent the day joining little squares together. I know now why I haven't made one before!!
It is looking really good and I am enjoying it but it is slow going.
And here is my table today with all sorts of bits and bobs quilt related.
And at the front of the photo is a tiny box with a new little friend peeking out - I will show you more on my Friday post so pop back!
OK - short and sweet - I am going to pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and see what everyone else is up to today.
