WOYWW

 Good morning all.

I hope you are enjoying the cooler weather. We even had rain on Monday night!

This week I have been helping Tilly by framing her tiny floral and sheepy pics. They all sell well in the local shops. We are surrounded by sheepy Shropshire Hills after all.😀

My work room hasn't seen much crafty activity but I did manage to do a set of Bluebell Woods workshop packs. I only have 6 more sets for September to put together!

We had a day out at Stokesay Castle, Craven Arms on Saturday.

This is a view from the top. Can you spot the key shaped bush in the garden? There was a little quiz for the children to find clues to it.

It's a lovely little fortified manor house. You can just spot the gatehouse on the left. It's a shame everywhere was so scorched but it did mean we could walk around the moat. Usually it's a bit boggy.

So that's me for this week.

Have a good week.

WOYWW

Good morning all. I hope you have had a good few weeks

Last week we were away on holiday with the family. We took them to Yorkshire and had fun visiting museums, hopping on and off Northern Rail and walking.

Here's a quick trip for you.....

This was a coincidence- having left home in Shrewsbury the day before.🤣

We absolutely loved the Jim Moir exhibition in Bradford

Then we visited Saltaire

This is the Cornmill in Leeds.

Ribblehead viaduct....
A heron beside the Leeds Liverpool canal
And finally, the towering cliff of Malham Cove.
A fab time was had by all.

So, as you can imagine, my desk has remained empty. I do have lots of work to do for Tilly so I might have some to share with you next week.

WOYWW

 Happy WOYWW!

Just a quick post today. I've workmen coming to finish our new garden fence. Another day of tea making! They've done a smart job so far. We had to clear out the flower bed so, it looks a bit grim, especially with the dried out lawn.

This week I have been busy making a roman blind for Ben's room. It's more of a turquoise greeny colour than the photo. Of course it doesn't have legs when hung.🤣

Other than that, I have just two flower pics to share.

My lovely Happy Birthday clematis is rambling over the fence from the front to the back garden.

And hubby planted some Alstromeria. I love them and this hot red one is fab. It's a bit stunted due to the dry weather but it's strong and such a lovely splash of colour.

So that's me for this week.

Have a good week all.

WOYWW

 Good morning all.

Last week I was out with Tilly setting up her exhibition at  Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre at Craven Arms. All went well and it really did look wonderful. It was very bright and photos were difficult to take of her fifty needle felted pictures along two walls. I did take a snap of her table top small items.

She managed to sell her first picture before it had even been hung on the wall!  So that bodes well for future sales.

Today I've been mounting a few remaining pieces.

Before...

After....

I think they will go to a local outlet

Lastly, I thought I'd share this gorgeous bloom with you. It must be nearly ten years old and I don't do much to look after it but it still blooms each time.

So that's it for this week.

We are still trying to stay cool, although it has been slightly more comfy this week

Have a good week all

WOYWW

 Good morning all.

Another week has flown by and my room has been busier than ever but not with any of my own handicrafts. However, it has been lovely. I have had Tilly's beautiful artwork to mount and frame.

Every nook and cranny has boxes and bags of work in various states of completion.

Hopefully, it will all be finished by next week, when it goes to her exhibition at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms.

I hope it's not too hot where you are.

Today will be busy but I am hoping to chill with the wonderful Wimbledon tennis later.

Have a great week all.

Hoping you had a wonderful birthday day Julia!

WOYWW

 Good morning all. Happy WOYWW!

I'm afraid there is nothing on my desk apart from boxes of artwork and stock being coded up for Tilly's exhibition. It is time consuming and requires patience. Hence, I didn't do much during the very hot days last week. In fact, I did very little of anything in an effort to survive🤣🤣

This week is lovely, bright but cooler and breezy.

So, I am playing catch-up on all my jobs

I did manage to see the finished wall art on my way to pick Ben up from school.  I think the artist made a good job and it really brightens up the bridge over the railway .

The hot weather hasn't done much harm in the garden. It's looking very colourful and cheery.....

The sweetpeas are the everlasting variety. They are beautiful but don't have the perfume that normal annual ones have.

I hope you are all well and enjoying the cooler weather. Have a good week.

 Happy WOYWW everyone

I hope you are all keeping cool and safe during the heatwave. We have limited our outings and tried to drink plenty of water, keeping out of the sun.

I've pottered in my sewing room but really it's been too warm for anything too tricky.

I framed a felted, bluebell picture for Tilly..

It reminded me of a lovely day - probably 43 years ago when we walked in the bluebell woods, where I took this photo. Where do those years go?!
And finally......our other little artist in the family made this oil pastel card for his Grandad...
Aren't we blessed to have such arty talent in the family.
Stay safe all.

WOYWW

 Good morning all.

I hope you have had a good week and enjoyed the lovely weather.

My sewing room has only seen picture mounting and labelling this week.

We have been out and about and enjoying a bit of culture!

On Saturday we sat in the sunshine in the park in town and listened to a local silver band. It was a lovely chill out hour or two, followed by tea in a riverside restaurant.

On Sunday we went to Birmingham and watched Les Mis in one of the big arenas. It was a brilliant day out thanks to wonderful planning and organizing by my little sis and her hubby.

We even met a Lego giraffe on our way 😀

Today I am taking my car to the garage for a replacement air bag - a product recall  - so, necessary, but a nuisance as it will take all morning, I guess. Better to be safe than sorry.

Have a good week

WOYWW

 It's Wednesday!
Well where did last week go? I had to think twice when I noticed Sarah's FB post as I had forgotten to organize mine. The weeks are just flying by.

I've had a busy week making up Lavender fields workshop packs.

I've also been pricing and labelling all Tilly's artwork for her Exhibition next month at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms.

Lastly, I just thought you might like another clematis photo. Last year it had twenty blooms. This year it only has about ten but some of them are about 8 inches across.

Have a great week.

WOYWW

 Good morning all

Thank goodness for the cooler weather. It has been very pleasant this week with just enough rain to keep the garden fresh.  We have picked two lots of strawberries already.

As part of our 17th anniversary, Angela sent us sisters some little celebration bookmarks.

Isn't it pretty? Thanks lots Angela..🥰

I had another gift this week...

I met up with my college friends for lunch on Sunday and one of my crafty friends made this for me. He is about 6 inches tall. I called him Shoreham. We lived in a terraced house on Shoreham Street - right next to Sheffield United football ground. I think Annie wants the pattern so that she can make a few too.

My craft room hasn't seen much action although I did manage another set of workshop packs for Tilly - Lavender fields this time.

That's me for this week

Have a good week all

WOYWW

 Good morning all

Welcome to our Wednesday desk sharing.

I'm afraid I have only managed a few jobs for Tilly Tea Dance this week. It's been too hot and sticky to do much more and I have spent time keeping cool and well hydrated.

These little piles of fluff will become fibre packs for Tilly to sell at her workshops. They are always popular and I enjoy putting colours together.

Yesterday we had monsoon-like showers at the end of a really hot day

I'm hoping it hasn't knocked the petals off my pretty rose.

I hope you have managed to stay cool and safe in this unusual May weather.

Have a good week all.

WOYWW

 Good morning all.

Another week has flown by and my sewing room has seen very little activity. I have done a little bit of yarn dyeing for Tilly...

However, I have been hindered by a miserable insect bite on my leg. It started itching and was hot and inflamed so I had to get antibiotics for it  I'm not usually troubled much by insect bites but this one is nasty!

While walking to meet Ben from school I saw this on the railway bridge. .

I'm guessing a local artist is going to paint a mural of a steam engine on the freshly painted wall. I will up date you when it's finished.

So that's me for this week

Looking forward to a sunny Bank Holiday weekend

WOYWW

Good morning all
 Happy 17th WOYWW anniversary!
I can't believe we have been sharing our work desks with our blog friends for 17 years. We have had some lovely times over the years and shared all sorts of crafty activities on our Wednesday blog hop.

To celebrate the life of our dear friend Neet I have made some funky coloured ATC sized card toppers. I added a bit of sparkle with some beads. I think Neet would have liked them.

They are all different and I've glued them onto cards.

So, apart from the colours in my crafty activity, I have enjoyed the colours in my garden.

The last pic is the first bloom on my clematis Josephine. Always a cheering sign that spring is here. I even heard a cuckoo on my walk at Attingham!

So,  let the sun shine and the colours of Spring cheer us.

Happy 17th WOYWW anniversary - long may it continue and a big thank you to Sarah for keeping us all on track.
