I spent a little bit of happy, crafting time making cards for friends and family this week.

The above is the flowery collage I made for my much younger sister!

Below is the little seascape that I made for a friend who loves the Isle of Man.

They are just made from tiny scraps from my fabric stash.

I have drawers full of colour sorted fabric and it's fun just to dip in and use some of it.

I use Bondaweb to secure the fabric to the backing piece and then machine in place.

A few hand stitches here and there and that's it. Probably an afternoon's work though.

My latest twiddler is intended as a Halloween themed one but, of course, I can't make them scary, so I went for a suitable colour scheme, pumpkin face, cats, buttons etc and a few twiddly knitty/crochet bits.

So, that's it for this week.

Hopefully, I am meeting up with Sarah B at Tilly's workshop in Shrewsbury on Friday - really looking forward to it.
Have a good week all.

Good morning all.

This week I have been knitting tiny spooky monster dolls. I made one for Ben and he loves it - I guess zombie style is his thing! He loves all the fun of Halloween and last year the whole family went for the pale ghostly look!

At the weekend I had a get together with an old school friend and we went for a snack lunch at Battlefield cafe/farm shop and museum. Whilst we there we spotted this beauty - a European Eagle Owl. I was even allowed to stroke his feathers. His tufty "ear" feathers were a bit messy but then he was called Boris!!

Thank you for all your kind comments about Annie - I am pleased to say she is on the mend. It's a slow process. She will take a while to be her normal bouncy self but is taking it one day at a time.

And lastly for those who look forward to my latest twiddler unveiling.....

Autumn

That's it for this week.
I am really busy with admin for Max's workshops and exhibition at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in November. I enjoy all the jobs that I do and it's so nice to be back helping out.

Have a good week all.

Thank you for all your good wishes for my birthday last week

I had a lovely time and even managed a weekend away with friends which was a treat.

My lovely girl made me the most gorgeous felted picture for my wall.....

It seems to be more lovely every time I look at it and I am so thrilled with it.
She is starting up her workshops next week so I have been helping get her roving packs organised.
Look at this beautiful range of purples that I have to dip into.

Then she asked if I could make her an extra bluebell woods sample piece.
She is really busy producing work for an exhibition so I was happy to help out.

It's only a small piece about 4 inches square but was fun to do.

Now you will notice Annie hasn't blogged today - she has Covid and is feeling really under the weather so we are all hoping she soon feels better. There seems to be so much virus about. We are all being really sensible but somehow the little "bug..." gets through!!

I hope you are all keeping clear of it and have enjoyed our lovely Autumn weather.

This was where I went at the weekend...

We walked across the aqueduct at Pontcysylite near Llangollen. We went over in in a canal boat with Ben in the summer but you don't appreciate how high it is until you walk over it on the tow path! Quite a feat of engineering for 1805.

(LLJ - if Annie hasn't linked me to Julia please could you do it for me?)

Have a great week

xx Jo

Just gorgeous birthday plant and flowers to share with you today!

I had a lovely day yesterday with visits from friends and family.
It was so good to spend time with them all and as we are all doing Grandparent duties we were all weekly tested! What a strange world we are living in.

My only crafty activity has been a little bit of twiddler knitting which I will show you next week.

I hope you didn't get flooded out on Monday with all that heavy rain - I noticed Pembrey Sands had about 36mm of rain overnight.  Raincoat, sou'wester and wellies Jan??

Have a great week all!
