Good morning all.
I'm a bit slow at publishing today as I had a hectic play day with Ben yesterday. I forgot just how active a five year old boy needs to be!
We played football, cricket, hide and seek, a water pistol game (Nanny got very wet!) as well as pebble painting and Lego model making - all in our garden. It was a lovely day but left me slightly tired by 6.30, when his Mum collected him, after he had enjoyed his favourite "chicken dinner".
I spent the evening knitting a little purple hat but ended up unravelling about 6 rows when I realised I had lost a stitch and the pattern was going a bit wonky - maybe I nodded off part way through - I'm not sure!!
Below are some lovely cards that I bought from "Dear Emma Designs". I love birds and these prints from her fabric collages are lovely.
And lastly - a snap from our walk alongside Rea brook this week.
I am calling it "Light at the end of the tunnel"!
It seemed appropriate somehow.
I hope you are all keeping well and able to get out and about a bit more.
Take care, keep safe, wear your mask!
xx Jo

A little bit more knitty fun to share with you this week.
I made a little crushed raspberry hat with twirly rosebuds on the side - another one for my collection. If no one wants it, I can always donate it to our local charity as I am sure they will be glad of funds just now.
Below are the latest twiddlers all finished for the hospital.
These are the themed ones...
And these are just colourful and fun twiddlers.
Some even have tiny ties on the reverse - cut from the tail end of old ties. One has STFC (Shrewsbury Town Football Club) tag - attached with a white football button.
I think I enjoy creating the themed ones best - it just depends what chunky wool I have at the time.
And finally -I snapped these wonderful cloud photos on Sunday.
We still only see an occasional aeroplane and the skies do seem to be a lovely clear blue these days.
So that's it for this week.
Thanks for calling by.
Enjoy your week - wear a mask and keep safe!

I fancied a change from knitting twiddlers so I made this little lacy cloche hat (Age 3 - 5 years).
AND now I know why I knit twiddlers!!
I started with 90 stitches which should have been maintained until the decreased top.
So, how come after 8 rows I only had 86 stitches left on my needle? Where did the others go?
After a quick unravelling (knitting - not my brain) - I started again - counting carefully without distractions this time. I think it looks OK. I added a little crochet daisy on the side.
I used Sirdar Crofter yarn so that it has a fairisle look to it.
I don't have anyone to pass it on to so I guess it will sit in my "Finished bits and bobs" box until someone wants it. I really need a little hat model to show it off nicely. (I don't think I can persuade Ben to do that!)

Last year, at the crop, I bought some of Shaz's lovely cards and, having used the last ones recently, I wondered if she had more.
Of course she did!
Look what came in the post this week...
Lots of lovely Happy Birthday cards - perfect for all the men in my life! (Sounds like I have lots of them doesn't it - wink wink!
I love how neat and clean cut these designs are. So clever. Thanks Shaz. (Shazsilverwolf)
Lastly, I know lots of you follow Tilly Tea Dance and thank you all for that. She posted her latest brooches on her Etsy site this week and I just thought I would share them with you. I love them - proud Mum here.
