WOYWW

Good morning all.

I hope the wind and rain of the last few days hasn't posed too many problems for you. The River Severn is quite high but our weather hasn't been too bad.

We had a chilly but interesting day visiting the Shrewsbury Flaxmill this week.

It was the first factory building in the world to be built with an iron frame. Initially it was a flaxmill for spinning raw flax to thread. Then later it became a maltings for the brewery.

It's been beautifully renovated and now houses a super exhibition centre. Various floors of the building are now rented as office space. It is run by English Heritage.

My crafty activity has been an attempt to use up some of the donated fabric.

I made some tote bags using curtain fabric...

I think it's made good use of the fabric rather than let it go to waste.

Of course, I'm also keeping going with a few little creme egg covers - also for the children's cancer charity...

They are quick to make and use up some of that huge yarn stash lurking in my cupboard.

The rest of our week will be taken up with birthday celebrations for my hubby. Where do the years go?!

Best wishes to Neet, I hope you are feeling a bit better.

Have a good week all

WOYWW

Good morning all. Thankfully we have had a snow free week but it sounds like next week might be different.

I've started knitting a few items for the charity pre Easter craft fair.
I tucked this little fellow into one of the nine Easter bunny  bags that i made with fabric Jan gave us. Cute?

Below are a few of the Tilly Tea Dance brooches that I stitched brooch pins on to.
I love the floral ones.

So that's my crafty activity for this week.

Sending a virtual WOYWW hug to Neet. I hope she pops in to see what we are up to. Get well soon Neet!

WOYWW

Thank goodness our weather has warmed up

This was our street last week ...

I hibernated for a few days and continued with my jobs for Tilly

She brought boxes filled with gorgeous felted bookmarks for me to edge...

Before..

 And after...

And finally a beautiful hyacinth that my dear sis gave me. It has now opened and the smell is delightful.

Short and sweet this week..

Have a good week everyone.

WOYWW

Good morning all. Happy What's On Your Work desk Wednesday!

I hope the weather hasn't been too cold and snowy for you. I have hibernated for the last few days but did manage to de ice my car and get out for some shopping yesterday.

Whilst hibernating, I managed to knit a chunky cardi for my friend's granddaughter....

As usual, the amount of yarn recommended for an age 2 to 3 was just not quite enough so I teamed it with some toning yarn for the neckband etc.
It's certainly a cosy little item

It has been a bit of a struggle with this nasty little cooker burn on my right hand. It's healing well but catches on everything now

My other post Christmas activity was this fab jig saw Max passed on to us. The plain colours were a headache but we both enjoyed doing it. Isn't it beautiful. It reminded me of our summer time trip to York where we saw the Van Gogh event in St Mary's Church
So that's it for this week.
Sending our good wishes and. WOYWW virtual hug to Neet.
