WOYWW

Welcome to my WOYWW opportunity to share my crafty activities with anyone who pops in to see what I'm up to.

This week I decided to make another Masterboard although I think I prefer to call mine a Motherboard even though I know that's something completely different 🤣

Here's my bag of green bits and bobs that I use for collage....

I snip strips of various fabrics and lay them onto a plain fabric - white poly cotton in this case.
Gradually, I build up an entire background.
Then I overlay a piece of very fine net and finally run several rows of leafy machine embroidery over the whole piece.
Here we are.. all ready to cut up into smaller pieces so that I can add detail with hand embroidery and more collage .

The little embroidery piece I showed you last week now looks like this..

I hope you enjoyed your V E day celebrations if you had any. G ran his model railway as a V E Day special and invited folks to pop in and see it. Just a bit of fun.

We had a walk through the park at Attingham. The azaleas and bluebells were pretty and the birdsong was lovely.

So that's me for this week.

I’ve got one or two bits to make motherboards with if you need more 😂 I might have a go but not today…I have a prom dress and a wedding dress coming now (possibly another prom dress too).
Hugs,

I love the fabric collage and the finished card is gorgeous. Pleased you liked my mushroom too. I used to do felting years ago and just decided I ought to use up some of the wool that's sitting around but guess what? I've bought some more too! naughty girl. Happy woyww, hugs Angela x10x

You’re one awesome Mother, I know that!! *grin*. What sort of net did you use for the top layer? Like a net curtain weight? It makes a beautiful background out of teeny scraps which is brilliant. I hope G dressed up as a station guard for his VE Day demo!

That M'board is gorgeous - what a clever way to do it. Love the photo of the gardens, our azaleas are beautiful too and the bluebells are out in the woodland part of the back lawn but the best bit was at the caravan listening to the birds. My son got me to download an app to recognise the songs.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx

Love your finished motherboard and the card that you made using it. The site we are on has bluebells and white bells too. There are normally lots of birds, but things seem very still this morning! I put my hearing aid in and now I can hear the birds🤣🤣. Happy WOYWW Angela #11

Adore your "motherboards" using the netting over the strips is brilliant. Had my machine out to do a collar this week and checked out my stitches and no leafy one sadly. Your little card is truly beautiful, your stitching ought to be part of the Making Zen workshops, brilliant. Hugs BJ#1

WOW! That is such a gorgeous piece, you are so clever! We had mooted a VE street party for the BH but nothing came of it - think the neighbours were waiting for me to organise it!! So very quiet for us. Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx

I love what you do with small pieces of fabric. The motherboard looks fantastic. The little embroidery piece looks stunning now that you have finished working on it.
