WOYWW

Good morning all!!
Today, as you see, my ironing board started off as my workdesk. ( Please excuse all the blotches of glue and fabric paint!)
I  am busy with the little pinafore dress from last week's WOYWW post.
I decided it needed a little applique before I make a start on sewing it together.
Birds and flowers seem popular on tinies' clothes at the mo, so that's what I decided to do.
I cut the little shapes from scraps of baby dress fabric ironed onto Bondaweb.
All I did then was, peel off the backing paper and iron the shapes on  to the dress front.
Then I whizzed round with the free-machining.  Done!!
Below is the finished applique. Now I just need to get sewing to make it up. Its so tiny - 0-3 months so it should be done in an hour. I may add an update but I have a few jobs to do today as well!!
The car needs washing and I have a pile of ironing....... Mmm .. maybe I will sew first..lol!!!

Enjoy your day and I will pop over and see what you are up to thanks to the wonderful Julia who organises us all!!!

Gorgeous little dres.. I have a theory about ironing.. if you wear it crumpled, the heat of your bod will make the creases drop out... that's my excuse and I sticking to it LOL

I am not into sewing at all (when it comes to needles I have two left hands, except for knitting needles), but I totally love this pinafore. Great color!! The little flowers are beautiful.

I am totally in awe of anyone who can sew, I can't. Your dress is beautiful, so gorgeous you must get a real sens of acheivment from it, especially when they are being worn.

Where on earth were you when you took that pic? Looks like you must have been suspended from somewhere in a cat woman stylee. Sorry I haven't been by in a while, but hopefully i'm picking up a bit now and will get round to looking at some of your past posts.

Hope you are keeping well, and thanks for all your visits and comments. they cheer me up - i'm just sooo grateful for them.

I saw the finished product in the next post. It's so nice to see a work as it progresses. You do lovely work. And it's a great design.

I've often thought that it used to be people sewed their clothes to save money. Now they sew for satisfaction. Glad to hear the fabric was not that expensive. It would have been here. Sorry I'm late getting here. Had a big tutorial to finish. Happy belated WOYWW.
