WOYWW

Happy wet Wednesday everyone!
Just a few things to share with you today.....

I sorted out the few Christmas stamps that I have er.. just in case I fancy making some stamped cards. ( Usually I make fabric collage and embroidered ones). I helped Wipso to sort all her stamps ready for her grand stamp sale this week and it reminded me that M. and I had a few stamps somewhere.
If the wonderful card makers amongst you would like to browse/purchase any of Wipso's stamps, you can find them here in our blog shop.

Below the stamps, you can see two little embroidered pieces that I found at the car boot sale this week. Don't know what I will do with them but they were too pretty to leave dirty and unloved in a junk box!

The open magazine is my new Stitch mag. Inside is an article by Michala Gyetvai. I love her work and follow her blog Kayla Coo where she shows us how she can transform her sketches into wonderful embroidered pictures.

You can also spot my Argos catalogue. Great news here because I won some vouchers and I have been planning how to spend them!!!

So that's my work desk - I don't think I shall be working there today as I am recovering from a tummy bug and feel a bit limp!! I will soon bounce back.

In the meantime - two pics to share with you.
The first is the view from Old Churchstoke towards the Welsh mountains which you can just see in the far distance. It was such a beautiful morning on Sunday and we made the most of it by going for a walk with M. This was the view when we were half way round.

The photo below is the result of my comment that the hedge needed trimming!!!
Within an hour, half of it was lying on the lawn, ready to be bagged up and taken to the tip.
It looks a bare, brown mess at the moment but I am assured that it will be green by Springtime!
Hope you have enjoyed checking out my blog. Thanks to all who manage to visit each week. It's great to hear from you. I try to get round as many as I can because I love to see what you are all up to. I usually manage about half of Mr linky's list over several days!! If you want to join in or,  have no idea what I am talking about, then visit Julia's blog today!

WOYWW

Good morning all!!
Blogger is playing me up today or maybe its just me!
I had such a busy day yesterday and today I am catching up on chores.
Wipso - that little sewing wonder woman, who we all know and love - gave me a little sewing job.
Two pairs of curtains - 3 metres long!!!!! As you know, I always help her cut curtains but these were so big we decided it would be easier if I sewed them here at home where I can spread out. Sorry, I forgot to take a snap - the fabric was very pretty and it sewed like a dream. They just weighed a ton because they had thermal linings.
Now - I can hear you thinking so what's on the desk today then???
Well even the most skilled craftsperson can have little accidents.....
I dropped those lovely, sharp, pink, thread snippers on my black linen - trousered leg and pierced two neat, round holes in the them!!! Hence this morning found me doing an invisible darn....
You can't see it can you????  Ha - must have worked then!! Lol.
Also on my desk are a few more of my African flowers which I made at the Knit n natter on Saturday. Great to see you Suz and hope the big sleep boosted your batteries.
And finally....
Last night my wonderful little sis and her gem of a hubby took me out for tea and to the Severn Theatre to see "That'll be the day". If you like golden oldies from the 60's and 70's then go and see it - it was fab!

OK - I will do my best to visit a few more desks this week. If you want to join in then hop over to Julia's blog and follow Mr Linky to see what everyone is up to.
Have a great day!

WOYWW - lots of woolliness!!

Good morning all.
With a bit of luck this will upload all by itself and I can head down to Wipso's to enjoy - fun day Wednesday.
(We had a fun day Monday but with no crafting as we were baby sitting for P and L. - what fun!!!)
So, I am leaving you a pic of my desk as it was Tuesday.
Having finished my little bag that I blogged about last week, I tipped out all my felted woolly jumpers in an effort to gain some creative inspiration!! I love the finished crochet bag (on the left) and its now in the blog shop.
I want to make a few funky little bags with the woollies. One of the turquoise jumpers is already minus a cuff as I chopped it off to make a dress for P's little favourite cuddly Bagpus - " Meow".
I have a few ideas for little shoulder bags with lots of bold hand stitching, big buttons and brooches so watch this space!!

For all the card makers out there..... Here is my latest offering!  We have a golden wedding party to attend at the weekend so I have had the old machine out to make a little card. The silk flowers are free machined onto satin with gold lurex thread and then the centre is beaded with tiny golden beads.
Now, I am packing my bag ready for my trip to Wipso's........
Hopefully, I will have time to visit lots more WOYWWers today - you are such a lovely bunch - I do enjoy my Wednesday snoop! If you want to join in, then nip over to Julia's blog and check out the 130+ blogggers who share their workdesk every week.

WOYWW - on a misty moisty morning.

What a beautiful morning it is now that the mists have lifted. I started the day not being able to see past the hedgerow but within minutes the sun had burnt away the fog, leaving wisps of mist swirling across the hillside.
I love these sort of mornings, although it does seems to mark the end of summer!

Before I show you what I am up to today - how about seeing what was in my garden yesterday!!! For those of a squeamish nature - look away now!   Its an Elephant Hawk moth caterpillar, I think. What a beauty!!

Here is my project of the week. I bought some bargain, chunky, Icelandic pure wool at the car boot sale and I decided to crochet a little bag and then felt it in the washing machine.

The fuzzy one below is how it looks at the moment.
I am going to make a denim strap and line it with some pretty fabric.

Enjoy your day and I will pop over and see what you are up to thanks to the wonderful Julia who organises us all!!!

WOYWW

Good morning all!!
Today I am going gardening for daughter M.
Hopefully this blog will upload first thing, all by itself, then I will dash to Mr Linky and add my name to the hundreds that join in the WOYWW madness that the wonderful Julia started over a year ago. We all love visiting other blogs to see what everyone has been up to. If you want to know what its all about, then pop over to Julia's blog and check us out.
My work desk is empty apart from my machines .............
so, just a quick update on my crafty work of the week.
The tiny pinafore dress looked so lovely last week that I was inspired to make a bigger one for P.
She loves cats so, of course, I appliqued a little " Meow" on hers!! ( That's what she calls her cuddly toy cat).

Have a great day!

PS Don't forget to pop over to Wipso's blog and join in her 100 followers give-away!
