Well what else do you do on a wet afternoon.!
I had cleaned my car, done the ironing and made a homemade chicken soup lunch so I reckoned the rest of the day was mine!!!
So here is the little dress all finished. I made it slightly larger than planned so that it will probably fit little L.
I have enough fabic left to make her big sister P. one too!!
I like the idea of applying them with Bondaweb and then free machining round them. Its quick and easy and each one will always be different.
I know, these days, children's clothes are so cheap that it's hardly worth all the effort but I enjoy the challenge and I suppose the pattern only used about 50p worth of fabric and a couple of pretty buttons.
Well worth the effort, I think.

Hehe - I have never made one but guess I could if given a picture of one to copy and measurements etc.

I can ask my sister for measurements. How much would it be? I have debated on making one myself but I'm not that fab with sewing & don't really have the space at the minute to get my machine out.
This is sooo gorgeous, what a clever twiglet you are.

Awwww your little dress is soooo sweet! My mum used to make lots of our clothes when we were little, unfortunately I didn't inherit her dressmaking talents!
This is the cutest little dress. If you enjoy it keep on doing it.
Oh so nice! All one needs is a little girl.
Gorgeous..you must be real pleased

Oh that's totally adorable - absolutely perfect. I love finding hand-made dresses for my little ones and this will be treasured.
This is so, so beautiful, what a lovely design you have done - it's always so good to see things that haven't been mass-produced. I sadly had no girls to dress up in pretty dresses - and it might be a very long wait for a grand-daughter! xx
this is stunning Jo. You are so so talented - I am in admiration of you. The little pics around the bottom are adorable.
