Friday smile

Just a normal day in my garden!

Above is a young blackbird on my lawn.
It sat there for ages with its wings fanned out, enjoying the sunshine.
Later the rain came.
Now I know this little squirrel was really trying to get past the umbrella to the peanuts but it really did look as if it was sheltering from this quick shower.
We will never know!

Have a great weekend and if you feel like you need another smile or two, popover to Annie's "A stitch in time blog" and see what is making everyone else smile today.

x Jo

You have such a gorgeous garden, where birds and animals can play and take shelter. That umbrella is great for keeping the squirrels away from the feeders, isn't it?

You need to teach that "much younger sister" the difference between football and soccer (GRIN). Just a bit of my sleep deprived humor before I head to bed.

Your garden looks lovely and the animals seem to treat it like a haven which it probably is. Thanks for sharing.

I NEED, need, need, one of those squirrel brollies. Can you get them individually, or do they only come with the feeders? We once had a cage feeder but those darned squirrels got in through 2 inch metal mesh, to sit smugly inside and stuff their faces. They plant acorns all over my garden and I am fed up digging up seedlings. The thing is that I cannot find an oak tree anywhere in our vicinity so they must travel far!
