Friday smile

Just a normal day in my garden!

Above is a young blackbird on my lawn.
It sat there for ages with its wings fanned out, enjoying the sunshine.
Later the rain came.
Now I know this little squirrel was really trying to get past the umbrella to the peanuts but it really did look as if it was sheltering from this quick shower.
We will never know!

Have a great weekend and if you feel like you need another smile or two, popover to Annie's "A stitch in time blog" and see what is making everyone else smile today.

Friday smile

This week it is a real live creature who is enjoying his breakfast in my garden.
I watched him dig up an acorn and then sit up on my fence munching away at it.

Garden visitors.

My garden seems full of little visitors at present. We have families of blue tits, great tits, greenfinch, chaffinch and goldfinch along with a young woodpecker and its parents.

Yesterday, whilst we were watching the tennis, these cheeky squirrels chose to pose and stretch on my fence, long enough for me to snap them through my lounge window.
