Happy WOYWW to all those happy crafters that like to pop in here and see what I have been up to.

If you want to join in then follow this link to Julia's Stamping Ground - she has well over 100 folks like me who like a good snoop at other crafters' work spaces!

Here is my work table today.....

I treated Maxine to some more fabric for a couple of frocks.
The navy fabric is the same design as last week but a different colour way.

I think I will make the navy up in the same style as last time but I have bought a new pattern for the pink one.
I just hope it looks as nice made up as the other one did.
I always find choosing a pattern difficult but I think this one might come in useful over the next few months! (Scroll down and read my last post!!!)

I bought a Sewing World magazine just out of curiosity. It has a few interesting articles and, of course, lots of adverts for fabric etc.
I have also been given several hand embroidered tray cloths.
Maxine wants me to create a table centre with them for her vintage china tea party sets that she is hoping to raise cash with for her charity. I am sure I have seen an idea on Pinterest somewhere!

OK so now I need to get sewing!

Have a great week and thanks for calling by.
x Jo

I know what you mean about choosing patterns. The front covers are often so underwhelming! Thank goodness for sewing bloggers, who show just how great a pattern can look when it's made up and worn. I've bought a few while Simplicity have had them half price. Looking forward to seeing what you do do with the tray cloths.

I bet those dresses will have plenty of spare room in them for future development! looks lovely fabric and what a lovely Mum you are. Good luck to M for her Tea Party..... I could have given her a big box of china cups that I never got round to making pincushions or candles from.

I have not bought a crafting magazine of any kind for a couple of years. There just seems to be so much advertising and too much of things I am not interested in. The money I save there goes on more stamps, stencils etc.Thank you for your visit today. You are so right. It is good to be with people who understand how you are feeling. I am so lucky. My school friends behaved totally naturally, not avoiding mentioning Geoff but not forcing things either. Then last night, I went out for my usual Tuesday chatty evening and we just raised a glass to his memory. You are certainly going to be a busy lady over the next few months. Congratulations on your new status. xx Maggie #28

Ah such wonderful news' jo, and so beautifully delivered! am happy for all of you how marvellous. I think that often the pattern front is really hard to match to a fabric..they don't always do them justice. Like the alternative colour way for the print. Maxine's going to be a very well dressed baby mumma!

Congratulations on the wonderful news ... what a promotion to get on Mother's Day! I think that pattern will indeed be very useful over the forthcoming months. The fabrics are beautiful and the tray cloths are lovely and I look forward to seeing the table centre when it's done. Elizabeth x #77

Hi Jo - hope you enjoy making the dresses and that they become easier, the more you use the pattern. I love to get inspiration from mag's too, but they are so expensive and full of ads that I now get my vibes from Pinterest and lovely blogs like yours. Have a great week, Chris # 35
