WOYWW

Just a few photos to share with you today...

Not much work going on at my table but little Tanner bear has found a new friend!

Margaret at Glitterandglue put out a request for knitted dollies for charity.
Now, I am not very good at knitting little things but, under Annie's excellent tuition, I managed this one! Thanks Annie.
Pop over to Margaret's blog HERE if you fancy joining in.

Last week I had a pile of fabric ready to make into little bead bags for Jo to send to CHICs.
I managed to make 18 and hopefully by now they will have arrived in the post Jo!
Don't they make a colourful photo. They will be given to children with cancer to keep their treatment beads in. They get a bead each time they have one of their cancer treatments.

The last photo shows the contents of my latest car boot bargain.
I picked up this biscuit tin filled with all sorts of sewing goodies.
Perfect for a gal like me and I am sure I shall be sharing it with Annie too.
Enjoy a good snoop girls!

OK - we are still busy decorating - er when I say we, I mean my hubby is doing all the work - I just have the  "accidents" and clearing up to sort out!! Don't ask!
Suffice it to say ...we managed to replace the glass shade for the uplighter.

Have a great week.
Join in the mad blog hop over at Julia's Stamping Ground.

x Jo

The dolly is gorgeous! What a fan find at car boot. Are there pins in the little blue container? I have one just like. Bought years ago. Maybe you can still buy them! Anne x #37

Whoops - glad you managed to replace the shade! Your dollie is so cute, and the bags will be much appreciated. Well done on the CBS haul - all very useful! Have a great week, Chris # 19 xx

I can see some Millwards needles among your treasures. I wonder if they are truly the Redditch made needles or the foreign imports. It is so sad that all the needle factories have closed now apart from one making specialist surgical needles. No-one in Redditch ever bought needles, sewing, knitting or crochet hooks, we all knew someone who could get what we needed. Those little bags are lovely, and what a great idea for the children. Thank you for your visit this morning. I have never heard nightjars before, which is why it took so long to work out what the sound was. It is a lovely place and there is always something new to see and discover. Good luck finishing all your decorating. xx Maggie #10

Look at all those little bead bags - you are a kind and generous soul :-) And I'm also impressed that you're knitting a doll for Margaret's cause. That's one step too fiddly for me, I'm afraid.
Love your car boot bargain, all those lovely threads...well done you!

Hi Jo, belated congratulations on your Ruby Annivesary ... 40 years - absolutely fabulous! Super photos showing what you've been up to this past week ... you make me feel an absolute slouch, my output is just a tint fraction of yours!!! I blame the garden :) Hope the decorating continues without any more drama this coming week. Elizabeth x #39

Thank you SO much for tackling the doll - do you need to sit down with a restorative drink, or was the experience not too bad?? Those bags are gorgeous too - Do you knit and sew in your sleep???
Have a great week.
Thanks for already visiting, and for your comments and prayers.

Between you and Annie, you can solve all the charity problems. I think you have the BIGGEST heart! And those bags show it, too. BTW, I am SOOOOOOOOOO envious of the fun things in that tin. I love old thread spools and those really spoke to me.

Happy belated 40th, too. WOYWW wishes from # 9.
