WOYWW

Just a  fun little pressie for Shell and Brent.
I made a little linen cover for a journal - the bride, groom and twinnies in all their finery.

We had an amazing day on Saturday - no doubt Annie will blog lots of fab photos for you.
It was such a lovely family wedding with 5 little grand children on their very best behaviour - a credit to their Mums and Dads.
I was asked to read a poem in church, so made a little collage for the card to hold my poem whilst I read.
It will make a nice momento of the beautiful Oxon Church, Shrewsbury, to go in the memory book.

My table hasn't seen much action for a few days.

I have been working on a very special felted picture but won't reveal it until its new owner has seen it.
So my table just has the little ivory linen clutch bag that I made to go with my wedding out fit and some prints of a few of my felt pictures and collages. I am going to put them on cards, I think.

Lastly - remember my chiffon scarf rainbow from last week?
Well, I re-arranged the scarves into a circle with a number on each.....

AND the grand total of scarves was.....

62!

So the winner of my little poppy dumfling is...
Virginia  - not sure who you are and can't find any details for you so if you email me with your details I will pop it in the post.

OK folks - have a fun week - lots of Olympic fun and games!!
Over to Julia's Stamping Ground now, to see what you have all been up to.
x Jo

It's surprising how many scarves you can fit on each peg isn't it? :-)

If you can't follow how to make those bibs from my pics just LMK and I'll spill the beans!
I thought about you when I made those slides, headbands and bracelets.... you should dumf some little flowers and make some with those as they are very popular and would sell well for you.

I forgot to answer your question about the yarn for the crochet flowers.... I had trouble here getting cotton in bright colours, despite looking all over on my travels, but found it in Germany at around 2 euros a ball. I am going to Germany again on 10th Aug so let me know if you want me to get you some as I will be getting more for me whilst I'm there.

Because I can't get round to everyone's desk on a Wednesday I use a system and today it has brought me to you. Having read your blog I realise that you are related to Annie who I have been corresponding with for a time now. (I used to live in Oswestry, but moved to Spain three years ago. I still have family around the area).
I just love all your work, especially the poppies, and the items of wedding memorabilia are wonderful. Kate#100

Well, whoever would have thought there were as many as 62 scarves! I was waaaay off, and thought I was being so clever! They look even more stunning laid out like this - it's a lovely photo.

You've been busy with the lovely wedding stuff, making some great keepsakes.

Thanks for your comment - I'm thinking of doing some blog posts on using our old rubbish and recreating it as something beautiful - a challenge to us all, I think. We're so quick to consign stuff to the bin when it could be re-created!

Happy WOYWW,

Gorgeous projects as always, that church is just stunning. You must have a lot of patience. I thought I was being clever by counting the pegs last week (as others did too) but I was way out. Congrats to Virginia the lucky thing!

Holy cow! 62 of those things. I tried to count the pegs but could definitely tell that some of the pegs had some than one scarf. Anyway, that was a fun and colorful challenge. Love the wedding journal!! And the chapel collage. Just lovely!

That's a lot of scarves! Congrats to Virginia.
I think there's a lot of distractions at the moment with so many WOYWWer's really into the Olympics, which is wonderful. ;D
I'm watching some amazing footage even all this way over here and mostly at silly-o-clock!
Two more Golds in 24 hours ~ yeah! The Aussies were having a go at the Brits here with being behind them on the medal table...but we'll show 'em!
I better nip off for an afternoon snoozy (oh I wish) ready for yet another late night...all worth it though ;D
Thanks for visiting my desk earlier ~ Neesie #37
