Oops it's WOYWW!

How could I forget that it's Wednesday and I should be showing everyone the state of my work space today?  My excuse is that it was a Bank Holiday Monday instead of fun day Monday and my week is all higgledy piggledy. Not to worry better late than never to join in with Julia's gang in the mad blog hop!

Here it is then - the dumping ground for all things crafty in my house this week.....

Just the remnants of a few crafty activities.
I covered an office chair for Maxine's neighbour in that black silk fabric.
The green "cotton wool buds" are dumfed dragon fly bodies made with wool rovings.
Scattered about are a few of my dumfed pictures which need framing.
In the bottom corner is a bag of bright pink wool ready for knitting hoodies for the girls.
The rest is just mess!!

This was where I spent yesterday afternoon picking bilberries...

And these minibeasts were enjoying the sunshine in my garden...

And today it's pouring with rain and really gloomy so I am going to get my wet felting kit out and make some background pieces for my felting pictures.
Have a great week - will pop over to see what you are all up to later.
x Jo

The rain has just reached here. Nasty black clouds overhead so I have retired indoors for the day.
Lovley butterflies you have managed to get on photo. we have had very few in our garden. Mostly plain white or dull brown though.
Wish my mess loooked as tidy as yours! Have fun with your wet felt.
Hugs Mrs A.

It is grey here and chucking it down, so your lovely photos are the perfect antidote! I've never been to the Stiperstones but it looks a wonderful peaceful place...and bilberries to boot. What are you going to do with them then??

Looks as if you had a better day than us yesterday. I used to pick Whinberries (bet they are the same thing)when I was a child with my dad. Mum made the most delicious pies with them. Blue tongues and teeth!
Wow - your desk area is a hive of industry - lovely pictures.
Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet #45 xx

What a wonderful spot to go Bilberry picking Jo, much nicer than being stuck in doors crafting, no matter how much we love it.

It’s chucking it down in the South East today as well and I think it’s turned quite cold too so it’s a pleasant sight to see the flutterbys in your garden basking in the sunshine.

Happy Crafting!

Love the photos of the butterflies - haven't seen many here this year. Your messy desk looks ok to me but I am a very messy crafter! Helen, 40.

You've got some lovely pieces on the window bottom there mrs.
Glad you like the plates, don't know what I am going to do with them yet but they are very inspirational from an artistic view.

What pretty butterflies! I miss nature. I don't get to see it much anymore since I've developed an allergy to all of it. I think I can still spot actual bits of desk in your photo, so all is not lost. And it looks like a happy, creative mess and that's good too.

What lovely pictures of the countryside and the butterflies in your garden! Where I live in upstate NY looks a bit like your area, although the local hills don't have such large boulders, for the most part. Have a happy, crafty week -- and thanks for visiting me already. :) ~ Laura #122

Well, twiglet, it seems to me that even though it may be gloomy there today,

it appears you live in rainbow valley, picking rainbow berries and taking pics of rainbow butterflies!!!

Umm, sorry . . . the lack of rain here is drying up my brain, so I'm a lil' bit jealous of all that glorious greeness!

:)Happy WOYWW!

Hi Jo

How are you? Ok I hope - judging by the activity on and around your desk = you appear just fine!!!

I'm intrigued by those dragonfly bodies - I love dragonflies...

How gorgeous to see some beautiful butterflies in your garden. Mine isn't very butterfly friendly - and if it were, the mini beast would just have a field day! They're best going to nextdoors garden instead of mine.

Anyway - what are you going to be making with the bilberries... bilberry jam? I'm sure you've blogged about it previously (last year - or even year before?), unless I've dreamt it!

Have fun with your rovings and felting - wet or dry!

Big hugs

Hi Jo, thanks for leaving a comment...my desk isn't normally that tidy, lol. Your desk looks busy, busy. I don't really know much about dumfing...but your pictures are amazing. I just wonder what the dragonfly will look like now.

Lovely butterfly collection! The poor things have had a tough time this summer but it's surprising how many have managed to survive.
