WOYWW

A close up of the goodies on my table today ( what makes you think my room must be a mess!!)
Annie wanted some little cover ups for the twins so we worked on a pattern and then bought a few bits and bobs to make these. They have terry towelling on the back of the bib so should keep the tinies clean.
I have nearly finished the little sleeveless cardi for L.  Her big sister P. already has hers and they look fab. I just ran out of wool about 10 rows from the end so had to buy a bit more. Then, of course, I  was tempted to buy the gorgeous Rhubarb Jelly Been DK. It will make some lovely little summer shrugs.

These are the latest frocks for the "Dress a girl around the world scheme".  They were made with scraps left from all the other frocks we have made. They take longer to make because of all the gathers and seams but I like them don't you?

And lastly just a few snaps from my day over on the Welsh coast at Barmouth.
The sun was shining so we set off, driving across to Aberdovey, Towyn and Fairbourne. We parked the car and walked across the railway bridge to Barmouth. Such a fab day for the beginning of March.

Well that's it for this week - enjoy your blog hop - will get around as many desks as possible and look forward to seeing what you are all up to. Join in by calling over at Julia's Stamping Ground and add your name to Mr Linky.

Thanks for calling by.
x Jo

Looks like you had a good day out... great photos! It's really useful doing close ups if you need to hide something (i.e. a mess) - I must remember that!!! Helen 12.

those little girls will ( maybe for the first time) feel very special and loved when they wear those pretty dresses, not only have you provide practical assistance you will give someone the realisation that they are beautiful and that they do deserve good things,

you are a living example of what Patsy quoted today

we cannot all do great things but we can all do small things with great love

people like you change the world for the better.

You have been a busy bee Jo but then again, you always are.
Isn’t it annoying when you run out of wool right at the very end. I have the same problem with my embroidery threads. I start stitching, thinking I have enough left on the bobbin and then find there wasn’t and can’t match the dye number up…….so frustrating.

It looks like you had a wonderful day out.

Happy Crafting!

Lovely little cover ups and the little sleeveless cardi is fab - baby L will look so trendy in it. I can see that the little dresses would take longer to make but they are lovely. Just love those pics of Barmouth - the EM's favourite holiday destination. I've never been on the train - maybe some day :) Hope you are having a good WOYWW. Elizabeth x #21

You and Annie have done wonders with your dresses - I can't imagine that each and everyone is not appreciated.

I am extremely jealous of yet another person getting to see the sea (I just keep getting sent the photo's). We are at least 2hrs drive from the coast and probably not very nice coast at that.......

Hello Jo,

What a super snoop over your busy table! That s/sleeve cardi is just lush in that stunning wool (it looks like crofter wool?) and what a bummer that it ran out 10rows short - I hate that!!

The tiered dresses look so pretty and I especially love the middle one, the white with blue sprigs on it is so dainty!

Looks like you had a super day out at the coast! I just cant wait for Spring to fully appear, it will be lovely wont it!

OH was working at Mawddach Nature Reserve today, so I took the children to the railway station car park with their bikes, it is their favourite place to practice!

Love your new projects - you and sis are certainly on the ball when it comes to sewing! Nice to see Barmouth in the sun - I've only been there once and it rained and rained and rained. What a difference a bit of sun makes. Enjoy your week - me I'm off to do some more sorting. ikki

Hi Jo, just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. I was born and raised in Cardiff and came to Canada when I was 24. I still have two brothers in Wales. Have a wonderful day. Good to see those picture of Barmouth. We went there with the caravan last year. Sadly, DH was unwell so you probably saw more of the area in one day than we did in a week. It is good to get out in the sunshine in winter, thought. Gives you energy to keep going till Spring. That is why the scissors broke, it was all that renewed energy from the sunshine. have a good week. xx Maggie #8

Amazing amount of dresses in the post above this one, do you realise that you and Wipso have provided close to half of those dresses for Louise! I think that's a staggering achievement, well done to both of you. Beautiful photos from your day out, the UK just can't be beat for views and beautiful places.
