Little frock update

Just a little frock update for anyone who is following the progress of our little dresses that we will be sending to Louise of Sew Scrumptious for the "Dress a girl around the world scheme".
I have finished making all the frocks that were cut out and bagged up (see below).
However, we do keep saying that its been a bit like the story of "feeding the five thousand". We started with the generous gift of fabric from a few and with that we have made over 360 dresses between us.

Yet still I have a table full of fabric left over - how can that be!!!
I spent an hour or two yesterday sorting it and putting little multi coloured packs together using just the scraps that were left.
AND - I now have 25 more dresses ready to sew!

If you want to know how to create a simple frock from just odds and ends - I will show you in  my next post  so do pop back if you want to try it.

Thanks for visiting and for all your lovely comments - x Jo

now do scroll down to have a quick look at the latest little frocks............

I don't know about using a sewing machine but I think you must be a machine to have made all these beautiful little dresses - love the addition of frills and coordinating panels to ring the changes. Wonderful work. Elizabeth x

These are all so lovely. You and your sister are remarkable. Your time and kindness on this project is the true meaning of helping others. Many here are starting similar projects, as a once a week thing with other family members, or church groups. A wonderful way to help others and use up great fabric and share some quality time.
Have a wonderful weekend

The latest dresses are so pretty Jo. It's amazing how many dresses can be made from next to nothing isn't it :-)

I am in awe of what you've achieved with these little dresses. I think my favourite of this batch is the pink and yellow one, with the ruffle round the bottom and the cute pocket.

I'm in deep admiration that you and sis have achieved so much for others! Well done - you both deserve a frock medal! love ikki

ps: I agree about the flower with the tip, it would fray - just thought I would alert you to the make. I was a bit concerned about you cutting fabric with the hearts because they too could fray. Hope I have not sent you off on the wrong track. Fingers crossed. x
