WOYWW

A lovely sunny morning here on the Welsh border!
I hope it's the same for all of you WOYWWers. If this means nothing to you, then pop over to Julia's blog - the originator of this band of bloggers - and join in the fun!!

Today, I will be mostly sewing together crochet, so I have stacked my African flowers on my dining table. I have then to lay them out around the first few that are joined and decide what to do with them. ("Obviously very little forward planning gone on there", I hear you say!!!)

Planning is not my strong point!!
I just made loads of flowers and then went around the outside of them all in pale lilac.
Now here is the question.....
Do I make one big throw for a single bed... or.... do I make a couple of cot blankets?
I intend edging the whole thing in the colours used for the flowers.
Lots to do then. Maybe I should get going!!
Oh and below are the two items for Wipso's little ones. A cute little shrug for the babe and a neat zip up cardi for P.

Have a great day everyone - I shall be round to visit as many as possible and see what you are all up to. Thanks for calling and for all your kind comments.

aww..I love hand knitted things for children, that shrug would look adorable on on my geat neice who turns one this weeknd...unfortunately I don't do knitting (don't have the patience and get cross - although it's funny cos I can spend hours fiddling with paper crafty things!) Good luck with the crochet, I'm sure whatever you make with the flowers will look gorgeous..

Love the shrug and would be interested to know pattern details, yarn etc as I am busy making baby stuff at present. Have been knitting with some King Cole Splash -it is so exciting to knit with.Hugs BettyXXX

Baby blanket, baby colors. Love these. You are SEW talented. That shrug is really, really adorable. Like you, I often don't plan ahead, and hope for the best. Looks like it actually works for you.

Happy WOYWW. BTW, I really enjoyed seeing some of the sights around your home in your previous post. I love looking at scenes I'll probably never get to visit. Thanks for the free day trip!

Love the way those flowers are joining together, and really pretty colours, I'm afraid I don't know about the one big blanket versus two small ones though! xx

Definitely a very cute shrug! Planning is a good idea, but sometimes it's good to go with the flow too - hope you enjoy putting your flowers together, whichever way you decide :-)

I used to do crochet long ago... only squares, but they were OK.
My old mum used to make the most amazing crochet items... table cloths and allsorts. Maybe I should learn to do it properly. Your work looks super.

I would go for the one single bed throw, but then I've always wanted to have the patience to make one and never got around to it! Love the little things for the babies, that shrug is just too adorable!

Such a wonderful skill - crocheting....and you do it so well Jo. *Ü* I LOVE the finished blanket and that little shrug is so cute. One craft that I have admired and wanted to do but never have yet is to be able to crochet. *Sigh*. TFS. ~Glen~
