WOYWW

Morning all! I can't say good morning - we have very low cloud, mist and rain so it's a bit gloomy out there. No probs - inside is all bright, cheery and colourful!!
My table is full of lovely bubble-gum coloured crochet. Wipso inspired me (along with Shropshire Suz) to make African flowers. Well of course she is much cleverer and quicker than me and has hers all done, as you will see on her WOYWW blog. Me - I am a little slower!!!!
Mine are coming along nicely and I make one or two each evening whilst watching Spring Watch.
Not sure what I am going to make, so all suggestions will be welcome. There are about 36 flowers at the mo.
On the right, you can see my bargain bag of padded coat hangers.
I am going to refurbish them and cover them with fabric and embellishments suitable for a "special" dress hanger. So that will keep me busy for a while!!
I had a lovely day yesterday making comfy hats with matching brooches, for one of Wipso's customers. I hope they are just what she wanted - they certainly looked good and such a wonderful lady deserves to look good!!!
On my window sill, is the latest peacock pic which has gone into the blog shop.
I am popping to my local emporium now but, I will be back later for a flying visit to all you WOYWers out there. Didn't we have a fine old time last week for the WOYWWAC. Thanks to all who popped in to comment on my right regal pin cushion!!! So, Julia and Mr Linky - here I come!

Crocheting looks fab sis. Nothing wrong with taking your time....you have it to take but me? I live in the fast lane :-):-) I perhaps should add that doesn't mean I'm a fast woman :-)

It doesn't matter how long it takes to make the blanket, it just matters that you finish it.

I'm really curious about how you are going to change the padded hangers. I hope you'll show us the finished project. And that peacock is lovely. Happy WOYWW.

The flowers look beautiful Jo, love the colours. It makes me want to dig out a crochet hook but I really need to get on with some dolls! With all this ghastly weather at the mo' you'll need a little knee blanket or shawl hehe Fab peacock ;-)

GORGEOUS colours, what a fun end result that will be. And don't believe Annie - she's denying the 'fast' label to keep her double life from you. The hangers sound like a nice idea.

lovely flowers, they would make a great bag or two, with a plain lining to set them off.

Could hang a little crochet bag with lavender or such like inside from the hangers.Pretty yarn colours. Have just started knitting a baby jacket with King Cole Splash-so easy to get a really pretty effect and very moreish. Am planning little knitted shoes with straps if I can find a pattern. Know what I want but finding the pattern. Don't think I could manage to design a pattern for knitted shoes! Was it you or Wipso who commented you collect word verification thingies or something because I got "carding" this morning!Hugs BettyXXX

I wish I could crochet. I remember doing some when I was a girl (a long long time ago !) with my grandma, but I can't remember how. I would love to be able to crochet some little flowers for my cards, but I just have to settle with shop bought ones.

Yes it was Elmer - I was trying to Alice-ify him but had a disaster later in the day when I realised I had put a box on top of him. He is now welded to the bottom of that box :( I'll have to go for Alice Elmer Mark II :P
