WOYWW

 Where does the time go?

I have had two busy days this week and by the time I realized that I had forgotten to get my WOYWW post ready, it was too late to start.

So, I am a bit late posting this.......

I found a pattern for a "cape-pullover".

It seemed like a good idea for a cosy extra layer for little ones so I bought some bright James Brett Party Time yarn  and knitted this little item. I think it looks good over a plain long sleeved T shirt (this is one of Ben's) and maybe jeans or leggings. I hope my goddaughter likes it. I have also made a smaller one for her little sister too.

And just to share Springtime Shrewsbury with you all...

This is the garden designed by Percy Thrower - The Dingle. It is in the Quarry Park, in the town centre, bounded by River Severn

It really looked stunning in the sunshine on Mother's Day.

Have a good week all.

What a great idea that throwover knit is and I adore the bright colours - just what kids love! I’m sure the girls will adore them! Lovely pics of floral Shrewsbury, it really is one of my favourite place in the UK, G and I are determined to come back, probably later in the year! Enjoy the Kaffe Fassett expo, I’m very jealous!

Beautiful cape- jumper Jo, I’m sure they’ll love them. A Kaffe Fassett expo? I’m very jealous. For the daffs I use dk (just because it’s what I have) and a 3mm hook. Using 4 ply may make nicely delicate ones though. I make a magic circle and do 1 row round then make the tube part, starting with stitching on front loop only. This leaves a nice ridge to crochet the petals onto. I hope that helps.
Lovely photos of Shrewsbury spring flowers- it’s a beautiful town.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Oh your post has some beautiful flowers. We just got rid of snow yesterday, nothing green here yet, 40's this week. Lots of MUD. I scrolled back and loved that gene bag and your little yarn item. Tilly's pieces are always beauties too. Enjoy a good week, Happy WOYWW

Wow, I think you need to scale that throw over pattern up to adult…a warm throw on with a pocket….heaven, I’m totally sure the girls will get pleasure and much use from them. The Dingle is looking super, how very lovely, I appreciate your sharing the pics.
