I saw Caro's post on FB - she had been out and about with Alex and some stick on goggle eyes and her camera. So Caro - here's my attempt. I stuck them in a little book for Ben and gave him some "eyes" so that he could do the same. Thanks for the idea.
My sewing room has had quite a lot of action - masks and headbands for NHS and I have just finished off and packed, 12 twiddlers ready for the hospital. Here are a few of them..
Never a dull moment. I just wish I could be of more use to Max and Ben but I guess I just have to be patient.

I like those nurse mates, really cute, and saw you had been scattering eyes around and thought you'd been copying Caro.
Like you I have completely run out of suitable fabric for bags, but actually my big problem was tie cord. I have absolutely nothing left.

Ohhh the nurse mates are just darling. I can imagine you bring a smile to the children's faces when they are stopping and pointing at your window. Stay safe and creative. Love the twiddlers as well.

You're such a neat knitter! The little nurses are fantastic, I bet they've cheered everyone up! Thanks for the link to the pattern. Well done for all you're doing to help make stuff for the NHS, I admire you making the gowns but you are a proficient garment maker!!

Like Jan, you’re doing some really generous and important work there Jo, how lovely of you. I love the nurse dollies, am not surprised the children look for them on their walks. And don’t worry about Ben, he’ll barely remember this time because you make all your together time so memorable.
Hi Jo. Great nurse idea! Looking good in your window - I can picture where they are which is so great. More twiddle muffs - my sister in law has been knitting twiddle blankets for people in the local care home. I think she is quite enjoying the change of activity!

I love the nurse mates and they are such a fun thing for kids to come across while out for walk. The eyes are so funny, and a fantastic idea for a project for Ben - love it!
It sounds like you are going great guns with the NHS stuff and the twiddle muffs - I have to admit I'm sticking to the laundry bags as I don't really have the skill to do the scrubs and gowns, or elastic to do the headbands. Keep up the good work and hope you have a good week,

I love to see a lot of my woyww-friends have their sewing machine on the desk, making masks and headbands and all... we are blessed that we can make those ourselves and help others with it (although I still think it is 'false trust' when you wear them, keeping your distance is much more effective..) Love those googly eyes!! such fun! may pass the idea on to DDC, she struggles with keeping her 'soon to be five' year old occupied. Love all the NHS staff, I am trying my hand at knitting preemie cardigans.
