WOYWW

Good morning all!
I hope Storm Aileen hasn't been too hard on you over night.
We are so lucky that we haven't had to suffer like all those poor folk in the Caribbean.
Our thoughts and good wishes go to them all.

Sitting on my work desk today is Ben's teddy that I made for him last year. He usually sports a pair of blue trousers and tan jumper but today he is modelling the dress and wrap that I have made for a charity project that my sister in law set up. She has been knitting for the Birmingham Children's hospital.
I think he looks very smart but he seemed quite relieved when I changed him back into his usual outfit!!

So WOYWWers - not much else going on here this week. I seem to have been out and about or busy with some wet felting in my kitchen. I might post a few pictures next time.

Thanks for all your lovely comments. My blood test was all fine, so that's it for another year.
My eye test proved that I do need a pair of reading glasses for my close needlework - I was struggling to thread a needle etc. I suppose I am lucky to have otherwise healthy eyes and have got to 65 before needing reading glasses!

Have a great week.

x Jo

Lucky, maybe..absolutely amazing if you ask me, I've been using glasses for close work for about 10 years now and am still battling with the 'glasses on glasses off' thing...every time I look up, I can't see!!
The bear looks great, but I sense his discomfort....i remember something similar in real life when my Mum used to do alterations and repairs for people!!

Love Ted's new outfit and for such a good cause too. Glad the blood tests went well. I moved to Varifocals last year (glasses since age 11) so you have done well on the eyesight front. Happy WOYWW Sarah #26

Well, we've never had a cross dressing teddy on the desks before but I guess there's a first time for everything, lol!! Your story about the stripping made me hoot - you should have called his bluff! Hope you win the goodies.
You are very lucky to only now have to wear glasses - I've been short sighted since i was 9. And now, the ultimate indignity of having to wear reading glasses over my contact lenses....sigh.... :-D Still, it could be worse, eh?!

Beautiful little dress! I'm the opposite of you, I have to take my glasses off to do things like thread a needle! Have a great week, thanks for sharing! Lindart #31

Hi Jo. LOVE Ted in his posh frock! I'm sure he was glad to get back into his normal outfit! My niece was in Birmingham Children's Hospital for major surgery the other year. They are brilliant!
Take care. God bless.

Hi Jo. Love the teddy bears dress! I'm sure he didn't mind modelling! I now need glasses for reading, and a different pair for driving, then no glasses for most other stuff ... sign of getting older so my daughter's tell me 'll. Have a lovely week, Heather #30

Well done on the eyesight!
Poor bear - how could you dress Him up in a frock? Oh Jo, I bet he glares at you now.
See you soon.

Hi Jo, the teddy made me smile. I take it the clothes are for prem babies? I remember when I had mine, the hospital had loads of clothes that kind people had knitted. Good to hear it was all good on the blood test. I use reading glasses too- my need was quite a basic one, so my optician suggested it was better value for me to just buy a pair of the 1.0 ones you can get anywhere, rather than pay opticians costs, which I thought was very fair of them. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX
