Little felted notebook covers

Now that everyone will have had their little handmade Christmas gifts, I can blog a few of them, so that you can see what has kept me out of mischief over the last few weeks!

The little book covers are needle felted using my embellishing machine. I worked yarn, threads and dyed silk onto an oblong of felt.

Once I was happy with the picture, I added a few beads to complete each one.

They are simply glued onto the front of a little notepad.
I added a little poem of my own to the inside page just for fun!

These are so pretty, and what a great range of different designs and colours x

Thanks for the kind comments - they were fun to do and really just little experiments with my machine.

As the proud owner of the little sun flower book I'm so glad you blogged it to let me know about the poem cos I hadn't taken it out of it's clear packaging and have only just read it. What talent my big sister has. Poetry and craft skills. I'm proud to call her my sister...but of course she already knows that :-)

Very pretty - but I'd have a problem using one. Too special for 'ordinary' notes like shopping lists or reminders... Perhaps I'd use one as an address book or for collecting quotes or poems that I want to keep. But I'd have to take my time and use my best handwriting so as not to spoil your work of art :)

I've already congratulated Wipso on this excellent work but I must do the same for you, even if it's a bit late in the day.

You are clever, no doubt about it.

I have recently met someone who finds people in CS less than welcoming. She's been there for 8 years and still has little contact in the WI and such. Can that be true?

Hi Friko
I am a poor one to ask because I don't really socialise in CS. I never have been one for joining groups etc. I guess its like anywhere else - you just have to be lucky to meet up with like minds!
oh and for "When I am Rich"..
My works of art are none too precious so I never worry about what they are used for as long as folk like them!!
