WOYWW

 Good morning all.

Another week has flown by and my sewing room has seen very little activity. I have done a little bit of yarn dyeing for Tilly...

However, I have been hindered by a miserable insect bite on my leg. It started itching and was hot and inflamed so I had to get antibiotics for it  I'm not usually troubled much by insect bites but this one is nasty!

While walking to meet Ben from school I saw this on the railway bridge. .

I'm guessing a local artist is going to paint a mural of a steam engine on the freshly painted wall. I will up date you when it's finished.

So that's me for this week

Looking forward to a sunny Bank Holiday weekend

Ouch, that bite looked nasty, no wonder you had to have antibiotics…hope it gets better very soon. Do you know about Avon’s Skin So Soft? It’s a clear, slightly oily skin spray that is renowned for keeping biting insects away, even the army uses it apparently. It works for me anyway! That train mural is going to be amazing, you’ll have to take some step by step pics!!

Happy WOYWW - Plumber, tree surgeon and painter/handyman all today so short and sweet!
Yikes! I have seen they now sell "Triple Antibiotic cream" on Amazon (similar to Neosporin, a staple in the USA) which I can highly recommend for any break in the skin barrier you worry might get infected. No good for eczema or the like but great for cuts or stings. The dye job looks lush - I have an eco-dye class in my stash that I hope to look at this weekend!

Hi Jo, that looks nasty. My hubby had a bite on his arm and we think it could be a spider bite as it was quite different from what you would expect with a mosquito. Can't wait to see the wall finished. Wishing you a happy woyww, hugs Angela x9x

Yeah, I agree, that’s way too impressive and laid out to be graffiti- how nice it will be. Thank you so much Jo for your beautiful ATC and the sentiment attached , I did and do appreciated receiving it. Loving the green yarn, it’s a fab swathe of hillside even as it is! Have looked back because I didn’t manage last week. Your garden is looking so lovely. Hope your leg improves fast, the trouble with infection on the calf is that you feel every line of the weight you have to put on it. We’re away I. Holiday this week so no par but believe me. A lot of empathy. I’m covered in mozzy bites!

Love the yarn dying - I always skip those lessons in Zen as it seems you need stuff I just don't have around the place and if it involves heat it is far too much like cooking for me - LOL. Ouchy sorry to hear about the insect bite hope it clears up soon. Super train, nice as is but could be even better, we'll wait and see. Hugs Bj#6

Ouchee! I don't usually get that bothered either but there is something we get in the garden that can be a real pain, its usually lower leg or ankle and I've had some real nasty ones over the years. I don't think my circulattion is that great down there and they takes ages to heal! Also got bitten a lot in Corfu though thankfully it wasn't mozzies and didn't itch, we just big red spots everywhere!!
Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx #10
