WOYWW

Well, we tested negative at last, on Saturday. I still have a slight cough but I'm looking forward to getting back to normal now

I've been busy, in my spare moments, edging bookmarks for Till Tea Dance. She made thirty in total. Here are the first ones that I finished for her.

Then she brought five more....

I go round each one with a zig zag to hold the edge together and then I put my machine to a neat satin stitch for the final round. I use Madeira rayon thread which is shiny and in gorgeous colours. It takes about 12 minutes per bookmark, so not a quick fix, but I enjoy doing it

We celebrated hubby's birthday this week with a family meal here. I'd forgotten how long it takes to get organized. It was lovely and every plate was cleared so obviously appreciated.

I even made him a cake with candles on it!

So that's me for this week.

Sending a big hug to all our WOYWW friends who need it.

x x Jo

Glad you’ve got over the covid. Those bookmarks are stunning and I’ve never heard of Madeira shiny rayon. Interesting! I’m glad your hubby’s birthday meal went well as it sounds a lot to do when you’re getting over covid.
Take care and happy WOYWW .

Oh Jo, those bookmarks are gorgeous. I love them before but after your magic touch at the end it definitely takes them up a level. Maxine is lucky to have such a clever mum who is willing to put so mukch time and effort in for her.
So pleased you have both tested negative now. I am sure some people don't bother these days but you were consciences about others. I always wear my mask going to clinic these days.
That's you and Lynne(crafts) whose hubbies have had birthday this past week. Please give him birthday wishes from me.
I had a good night last night but am still sleepy this morning, time I woke up and smelled the roses.
Have a good day/week Hugs, Neet 8 xx

The satin stitch edging really finishes the bookmarks beautifully Jo, I think your colour choices are always spot on. Looks as if they use quite a few metres of thread too! Well done on the family lunch, you forget don't you, the planning and coordinating! Am sure it was much appreciated by the birthday boy!

Those bookmarks are lovely - I would be so nervous I would mess them up but I am not known for my sewing abilities. It's hubbie's birthday tomorrow and we have Lionel for the day (I've told him it's his birthday present). Children and partners will be here for dinner and then I have his family over on Sunday. It is a lot to organise but I actually enjoy it more than going out to eat, someone always seems to get a mediocre meal if you are mobhanded. Have a great week, love n hugs Cindyxx #15

Beautiful job with the bookmarks. Great colors. Happy Belated Birthday to your Hubby ! I just don't even want to think about entertaining...I really don't enjoy food prep or baking anymore either. It's an age thing I think. We don't have much family in the area so that helps !!! ENJOY a great Week, glad to hear you are healthy once again.
