WOYWW -CROP 10!

Saturday 1st June CROP 10

Well folks, I have to say, the day was all we hoped for and showed the true spirit of WOYWW!

The sun shone, Shrewsbury was at it's best and 21 WOYWWers turned up to enjoy the day.
As you can imagine, the two terrible sisters were a bit pre-occupied with the smooth running of the event so didn't have enough time to socialise (or craft) but that didn't matter. We were surrounded by lovely friends who, hopefully, had a great day.

You will see from the only photos I had time to take that my focus was the food table - lol. Nothing new there, I hear Annie say. Sarah kindly "pretended" to be first in the queue!!!

There was such a huge generosity from all that we raised a wonderful amount to go to Alzheimer research. Tables were laden with raffle prizes and donations of fab crafty bits and bobs. Thanks to all for that - it was brilliant.
Here are a few snaps of the items I came home with.....

A few items thoughtfully brought along by Neet and Chris with us in mind.

A giant paper clip and yarn, my raffle prizes.

Thank you for all my beautiful ATCs and gifts - you really are a talented bunch.

AND last but not least....

This is the beautiful framed piece of artwork that Julia gave to us for hosting the event. Such a kind thought and much appreciated - a perfect gift for us both and we will hang them in our sewing rooms as a reminder of a fabulous day with everyone. Thanks lots.

Rumour has it that we might be tempted to repeat the event next year so, watch this space!

Now if you didn't pick up one of my ATCs on Saturday, or if you would like me to send one to you, email me with your details and I will sort it. First come first served as I only have these 10 left.

So - here's to the next 10 years of WOYWW.

See you next week.

xx Jo

Jo, thank you so much for all your hard work organising a fabulous get together, everything seemed to run so smoothly, but I guess, that like beautifully swans, it took an awful lot of paddling hard to make sure we enjoyed ourselves, and ate a super lunch too.
Have a pat on the back for doing it all.
Bless you

Hi apt you have 10 left of WOYWW 10 ATCs Jo, they’re stunning of course!
I’m guessing by their non appearance my ATCs haven’t arrived. Frustrating a little, as posted them a week before the two from UK I share today, but can’t be helped. Aust post has its moments going over to Europe etc. very slow, but ok coming back.
Love all you’ve shared, you all certainly did yourselves proud with that spread and also the beautiful framed item fir youand Annie was well deserved indeedy.
Guess it’s too much to hope for 20020 for moi...but hope it’s another cracker!
Happy WOYWW. Thanks for sharing your desk, Shaz in Oz.x #23

Your atc's were beautiful as always, I always so look forward to receiving one of yours.
Thank you thank you thank you for a wonderful magical day. The hall was lit up with love - what a wonderful venue you chose for us. A hard act to follow in so many ways. I guess you will just have to do it at least one more time.
As well as all the work you did leading up to the event, the early morning jobs you must have performed before we all arrived, the cooking and buying for the wonderful spread you put on (not forgetting the Prosecco which was a surprise but a marvellous idea) you did a truly wonderful job in MC'ing the whole event. I wonder what you did when you went out to work LOL? I think it shows in the nicest of ways.
Jo, you were a marvel and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. (Please remember the fiver - the replacement is on its way.)
Sending lots of love and thanks

What a day it was wasn't it. The effort was so worth it for the rewards that came with it...fun, friendship and lots of love and hugs. It was certainly a day to remember for all it's smiles....and just maybe next year we can repeat it? I'm up for it if you are.
Hugs,

Hi Jo, and thank you for such a fab day! It was wonderful. I seem to have forgotten somehow to pass you & Annie an ATC, so I'm going to pop them in the post. Great total for the charity, wasn't it? Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 X

Jo, it was everything and more that we’ve ever done for a Crop, I can’t really go on saying thank you, it feels inadequate, I’ll come up with something else at some point. And then just randomly shout it out. It was marvellous and really was lovely to be in the presence of the spirit of WOYWW wasn’t it. Meanwhile gal, that giant paper clip is to grip the edge of your desk/camp chair/ table/ blah so that you can stick your glass or tin of drink in it, apparently safer off the table, see.

I can only imagine how much work went into organising this! Well done you and Annie! I'm so glad that I was able to pop in and meet everyone and hope to attend properly next time! I like how Sarah is "pretending" to be the first in the queue LOL! Happy #522 and here's to the next 10 years indeed! zsuzsa #26

Hello Jo. What a wonderful day it was. You and Annie did an amazing job and you must have worked so hard on the day and before hand. The venue was delightful. I wish we had a Community Centre like that one. It was so lovely to meet you at last. Hope you have had a rest since. Hugs Anne x 15

Hi Jo, thank you so much to you and Annie for a wonderful day. It was great to see you again. Words really can't say how much we all appreciated how much effort you both had gone to in order to ensure the day was a success, which it was. I commented on Annie's blog first, and asked who the banner had been passed on to host next year ... if I'd read yours first it seems I may have got my answer! Have a lovely week Heather xx #6

Hi Jo, so pleased you all had such a great time and wish I could have been with you. Thank you so much for all the goodies you sent me, they arrived today and I can't start to tell you how I felt that so many deskers had sent me a little something when you were all so busy that day. I'm a bit late tonight but better late than never I guess. Wishing you a happy woyww, what's left of it. Big hugs, Angela x17x

I am so sorry to have taken so long to visit. Unfortunately, my electricity was off this afternoon and into the night due to the storms. Now it is back on and I'm trying to play catch up.

I'm in awe of the kindness and love I saw in the crop photos. You and Annie put on a great spread (now I'm REALLY hungry) and a wonderfully successful crop. I really didn't expect anything from the crop, but will send my address after I make the WOYWW rounds tonight. Happy WOYWW from #3.
