Crafty inspiration!

It was a damp and gloomy morning so daughter M. came for a ride over to Montgomery for a little crafty inspiration at the lovely Tina's craft and vintage shop - Indigo Moon.

M. had never been before and was really surprised to see what a wonderful job Tina has done in setting out her shop. It is a real Alladin's cave - full of wonderful, gifts, craft, artwork and vintage bits and bobs. However, it's bright, fresh and spacious and is just a delight to browse in. I am sure I shall be popping back, alone, to Christmas shop!

Tina had, in the past, suggested that I take one or two of my needle-felted pictures to sell in the shop. So, today I took my peacock and bullfinch pictures and was really thrilled that Tina was happy to put them on display.
M. has always been a talented artist and has made gorgeous cards and pictures in the past. She has had little time or inclination to craft recently, however, as we left Indigo Moon, she was bubbling over with ideas and suggestions for things "we" could make. So, I guess she will be reclaiming all the stash of craft materials I have been so kindly "storing" for her!!

If you would like a sneaky peek inside Indigo Moon, then follow this link to Tina's blog.

Blogging is just an easy way to let folks know what I am up to ( well some of it anyway!!). I am always so surprised when they think its worth an award! I love to share my craft work and my photos and I am so glad folk enjoy sharing them.
So I will blog on sisters! (Oh and any blog brothers too of course!)
Have a great weekend. I hope we get the warm weather that the weather men are predicting - its a bit gloomy at present.

WOYWW

I was a birthday girl yesterday so my table has lots of cards and pressies on display as well as the little grey skirt that is nearly finished for M.
I know I still have more to come but thought I would share a few with you.
My books are from Wipso - you know-  the next poet laureate!! (See her lovely poem here!)
We think we will enjoy making sock creatures. She made the fab card too and yes - even put a sock in it ( is she trying to tell me something!!)
I had two fab necklaces, a scarf, perfume, chocs and wine so I am feeling very spoilt.
Do help yourself to a Thorntons before you go!!
The other two pics were taken on Monday - one in the morning and the other in the evening. So nice to see blue sky and sunshine after all the rain.

If you want to join in and show us Whats On Your Workdesk on a Wednesday then pop over to Julia's blog and add your name to Mr Linky's list.
Thanks for calling - hope I get to see a few of your desks when I get back from M's later.

WOYWW

Happy wet Wednesday everyone!
Just a few things to share with you today.....

I sorted out the few Christmas stamps that I have er.. just in case I fancy making some stamped cards. ( Usually I make fabric collage and embroidered ones). I helped Wipso to sort all her stamps ready for her grand stamp sale this week and it reminded me that M. and I had a few stamps somewhere.
If the wonderful card makers amongst you would like to browse/purchase any of Wipso's stamps, you can find them here in our blog shop.

Below the stamps, you can see two little embroidered pieces that I found at the car boot sale this week. Don't know what I will do with them but they were too pretty to leave dirty and unloved in a junk box!

The open magazine is my new Stitch mag. Inside is an article by Michala Gyetvai. I love her work and follow her blog Kayla Coo where she shows us how she can transform her sketches into wonderful embroidered pictures.

You can also spot my Argos catalogue. Great news here because I won some vouchers and I have been planning how to spend them!!!

So that's my work desk - I don't think I shall be working there today as I am recovering from a tummy bug and feel a bit limp!! I will soon bounce back.

In the meantime - two pics to share with you.
The first is the view from Old Churchstoke towards the Welsh mountains which you can just see in the far distance. It was such a beautiful morning on Sunday and we made the most of it by going for a walk with M. This was the view when we were half way round.

The photo below is the result of my comment that the hedge needed trimming!!!
Within an hour, half of it was lying on the lawn, ready to be bagged up and taken to the tip.
It looks a bare, brown mess at the moment but I am assured that it will be green by Springtime!
Hope you have enjoyed checking out my blog. Thanks to all who manage to visit each week. It's great to hear from you. I try to get round as many as I can because I love to see what you are all up to. I usually manage about half of Mr linky's list over several days!! If you want to join in or,  have no idea what I am talking about, then visit Julia's blog today!

WOYWW

Good morning all!!
Blogger is playing me up today or maybe its just me!
I had such a busy day yesterday and today I am catching up on chores.
Wipso - that little sewing wonder woman, who we all know and love - gave me a little sewing job.
Two pairs of curtains - 3 metres long!!!!! As you know, I always help her cut curtains but these were so big we decided it would be easier if I sewed them here at home where I can spread out. Sorry, I forgot to take a snap - the fabric was very pretty and it sewed like a dream. They just weighed a ton because they had thermal linings.
Now - I can hear you thinking so what's on the desk today then???
Well even the most skilled craftsperson can have little accidents.....
I dropped those lovely, sharp, pink, thread snippers on my black linen - trousered leg and pierced two neat, round holes in the them!!! Hence this morning found me doing an invisible darn....
You can't see it can you????  Ha - must have worked then!! Lol.
Also on my desk are a few more of my African flowers which I made at the Knit n natter on Saturday. Great to see you Suz and hope the big sleep boosted your batteries.
And finally....
Last night my wonderful little sis and her gem of a hubby took me out for tea and to the Severn Theatre to see "That'll be the day". If you like golden oldies from the 60's and 70's then go and see it - it was fab!

OK - I will do my best to visit a few more desks this week. If you want to join in then hop over to Julia's blog and follow Mr Linky to see what everyone is up to.
Have a great day!
