WOYWW

Another week - another WOYWWednesday!
It's a vile, wet and wintry day here so, to cheer us all up I am exposing myself to you all.
Yes, of course.... my untidy work table, strewn with bits of this and that.
I almost burst into verse Pam Ayres style -

Oh I wish I'd looked after me room
And spotted the dangers that loom
All the scraps and the bits
That get on my t. .table
Oh I wish I'd looked after me room

Mmm maybe not - I can foresee a few difficulties with my rhyming there!!

Well as you can see there are bits and bobs all over the table.
A half finished twiddle mitt.
An Action man knitted football outfit,
A Tilly Tea Dance sheepy pic waiting to be framed.
Lots of dyed woolly bits.
And other scraps and general stuff.
My next job will be to tidy it up as I am sure my little helper and  Tilly Tea Dance will be back to finish mounting her pics ready for her workshop on Saturday!

So I will leave you with a snap of my latest twiddle mitt -I nearly had to prise it from Annie last night as she really took a fancy to it!!!
Have a great week.
Thanks for calling by.

x Jo

I think Pam Ayres words would apply to most of us. I can see why Annie took a shine to your twiddle mitt. It's really pretty and lots to twiddle too! Have a happy week. Barbxx #16

Well, as you've exposed yourself to us this morning, I can think of a very apt word to rhyme with 'bits'........ :-)
It's been horrible and wintry here too..it was so dark at 9.30 this morning, it was like the middle of the night. That was just before the snow and hail arrived. I'm glad to be indoors today! That twiddle mitt is fab! Did I send you the address?
Hugs, LLJ 14 xx

I can see why you had to prise your Mitt from Annie, it's lovely, so are the colours too.
Funny when I read your rhyme I heard Pam Ayers voice in my head, you made me smile anyway.
Happy WOYWW

Love the poem, made me smile, just fab. Great to see all of your projects, you are busy. The Twiddle mitt looks great, I have a friend making one for her SIL at the moment, and they are great for those scraps of yarn and odds and ends. My Daughter is a trainee social worker working with people with dementia, and I told her about them. Happy WOYWW, Judith xx

Carry on with the twiddlemuffs as we call them here - hope you are putting interesting twiddly bits inside. They are a good way of using up those textured yarns from the eighties that I still have. Good luck with the action man clothes I hope he is dressed better than my younger brothers in the 60s - knitted trousers and pants done by my mum - not the rugged look which was anticipated x Jackie 23

It's been a nasty day here too. Luckily there have been clear spots in between the sleety rain. I'd just finished loading up the car after class as the hail came down. Phew! Those twiddle mitts do look intriguing.

hahahah.... yeh... leave it to Jan.... only because I didn't get here first of course..... but honestly...what fun you two are always having over here and what a great little project...using up bits of leftover wool and goodies... always something to work/play at isn't there?

My room is totally being dismantled right now... well, not the whole room, but my big table.. I had to empty it and clean it off so we can move it out into the dining area... alongside the other table..for a big weekend party. Our annual neighbourhood progressive dinner...and, this year we have main course.... I am all a dither as I usually don't have any guests whatsoever ... ever...it'll be a big deal...

Oh won't action man look great in red! Annie needs a twiddle it this week, just to keep her mind off things. I love the lavender sky in the felt picture, really nice. Thank you for the exposure!

Loved your Pam verse, almost had me singing. Another great twiddle mitt too.
Weekend did me no favours - I am in bed now - think I have flu - feel awful.
