BUT - just to make you all feel better - I am not good at everything - and this is a clear example!
I have a lovely pattern for a chunky toddler cardigan - James Brett Marble Chunky.
I used the right wool and correct size needles.
Somewhere in the finishing it all went pear- shaped and it looks all wrong and mis-shapen.
I guess I need to unravel it and start again.
What better job on a cold winter's night - lol.
I hope you are all
It didn't bother me as I had just had the most perfect day with Maxine and baby Ben, here for lunch.
Have a good week and do join in our happy hopping around the WOYWW world of blogging crafters.
x Jo

Can't really see a problem from the photo but one thing is for sure if it doesn't look right you will just have to undo it :-)
Hugs,

Hi Jo, happy WOYWW. Your cardi doesn't look too bad but I do know what you mean, same thing happens with sewing patterns for me, bit tricky making clothes for Sophie too. Enjoy your week and stay warm Cheers RobynO#42
I defer to the experts as I can't see anything mis-shapen about your cardi. We are having a heat wave with predicted rain. I suppose it all evens out:-)

As i cant knit for peanuts (well basic stitches and that is all)...
.. I wouldn't know what went wrong but cant help wondering is a good press with damp cloth pressing would fix it up or blocking as others call it.. ????
happy WOYWW!

Oh, I do love you!! Your caption made me laugh so much and is almost exactly word for word what my men would say!! Lol :-) you got 'em spot on.
I'm so glad you make mistakes...makes me feel better. Only karst week I made a tote, only to find the lining was the wrong way around, so the pockets were upside down!! The air was blue.......;-)
Hugs, LLJ 25 xx
Ps. Had any viewings yet?
I think it looks fine from here... and would be more than happy if something I knitted turned out like it!! LOL
Had some cold nights but nothing too bad yet... mind you, still got plenty of winter to get through yet... :(
Happy WOYWW from Annette #13
I think when the cardigan is on the toddler..it will be all wonky anyway since they can't stay still..lol Maybe you just want a new project by redoing it? Happy WOYWW Shel#71
Honestly, I think it's cute, and when worn by a busy toddler, no one would notice a thing! But this is how I feel when I try to crochet - it all curves on me for some reason. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #59
Not sure what you think is wrong??? It looks darling to me! Hugs!!!
Happy Crafting!

Hi Jo it looks fine to me but I know that if you don't think it is then it won't matter what the rest of us think :-) been there, done that got the T shirt as they say!! Mind you I feel like that about most of what I make. Hugs Anne x #37
HMM. I don't see what is wrong with the cardigan, but I don't knit anything except afghans.
It's been cold here, too. So cold the ice froze on top of the snow. Hope you are out of the deep freeze soon. Happy WOYWW from #1.
well it looks ok to me but I am sure you know best... such a shame to have to re-do it though! Helen 5
I was given a knitted teddy book for Christmas. I knitted Jean Greenhouse dolls when I was younger so I didn't think much of it. The result was a very wonky misshapen looking thing. I really ought to make it some clothes but I can't face it. . . ;)
Nope! That's not pear shaped! Now if I'd had my hands on it the arms would have been different lengths and I would probably ended up with no room for a head to fit! I think I may be what's known as an improver!!! I'll stick to scarves! Chrisx54
Glad the snow did not keep your DD and your grandee away from visiting.
Now what is wrong with the woolly? Bet it looks fine when worn.
Hugs, Neet 3 xx
ps heading home tomorrow - to cold weather
Jo, it looks fine to me, perhaps the button is just not quite in the right place. Don't go undoing it until you have put it on a child to see if it really doesn't come up to your high standard whilst said child is crawling along the floor or climbing something.
Pretty colour anyway.

I know that feeling of Irish knitting so well!! I have a jumper front that I am battling to save but know I have to unpick at some point!

Oh yes...a day like this happens every once in a while. Pretty colors though. So glad you are close in miles for you to see baby Ben..nothing more special. My son will soon be state side with his family and I am so excited. Have a great week...warm up this past week here in the 40's but so much wind hard to be out.
