WOYWW - on a misty moisty morning.

What a beautiful morning it is now that the mists have lifted. I started the day not being able to see past the hedgerow but within minutes the sun had burnt away the fog, leaving wisps of mist swirling across the hillside.
I love these sort of mornings, although it does seems to mark the end of summer!

Before I show you what I am up to today - how about seeing what was in my garden yesterday!!! For those of a squeamish nature - look away now!   Its an Elephant Hawk moth caterpillar, I think. What a beauty!!

Here is my project of the week. I bought some bargain, chunky, Icelandic pure wool at the car boot sale and I decided to crochet a little bag and then felt it in the washing machine.

The fuzzy one below is how it looks at the moment.
I am going to make a denim strap and line it with some pretty fabric.

Enjoy your day and I will pop over and see what you are up to thanks to the wonderful Julia who organises us all!!!

Lovely nature-beats us into a cocked hat.I had a weed in my back yard that I didn't chop down due to laziness and it's grown into a white buddliea (suspect spelling). Just to prove it the other day a gorgeous peacock butterfly perched on it-but not long enough for the camera so I just stood and stared-what joy. Hugs BettyXXX

We are having some wonderful morning views here too; at seven the mist is so thick that you can hardly see anything, an hour later the sun has burnt it all up.
I do so hope we'll have a pleasant autumn.

If I had but only one day to trade places with you and look upon such a morn I would have died and gone to heaven. Thrilled to see your caterpillar friend. Had some swallowtail butterflies fresh emerged last week. Splendid bag too, I love how the felting came out. Hope to peek again next week!

Hi, What a wonderful view! September is my favourite month, that is apart from it being my birthday. This is the third moth of this kind that I've heard about this week. Strange! ikki

I love that bag. I can't believe you can whip one up in a few days. It would take me a YEAR to make that.

I hope you really liked that caterpillar and it turns into something really pretty. And yes, I'm late getting here this week!

It was a beautiful day here too Tiglet, after the mist had burned off - distinctly autumnal until the sun broke out though! Love the bag, I think denim for the strap will just about make it perfect.

It's such a great effect knitting or crochet then felting - so different from wet-felting plain fibres - that bag's come out so well. I'm waging war on cabbage white caterpillars at the moment - I think after weeks of them winning the tide is turning and my purple-sprouting brocolli may survive - I'm glad they're not as big as that one you found! xx
