WOYWW

 Good morning all.

I hope you are all able to enjoy this lovely weather. Its definitely been a bit to warm to spend much time in my sewing room. I have got a few projects in mind, hence the fabrics below, but seem to lack a bit of motivation.

I cut out some little fabric hearts with the Cuttlebug. They have Bondaweb on the back, so they are all ready to iron onto some little denim purses.
On the right you can see a pile of tiny mounts waiting to taped ready for Tilly to frame her tiny sheep pictures - or maybe waiting for me to frame them ready to go off to a shop in the Dales!

I have, however, managed a bit of gentle knitting and made two little cardigans for my friend's little granddaughter. This is such a quick and easy pattern - we love it don't we Jan!

This one is much trickier and the edging seems to take forever.

Both cardigans have helped me reduce my stash of yarn so that's all good.

That will be all my crafting for this week.

Today I will be playing table tennis😃

Sadly, the rest of the week won't be so much fun as we have a funeral to attend.

Make the best of every day.

Hoping you are all well.

WOYWW

Just a quick post for my WOYWW today. I took lots of photos this morning, only to find that, for some reason, they were all blurred and useless. Something is obviously wrong with my little camera.
Then, I went back and took this picture just now and it looks OK.
So I will make the most of it.
It is a little "In threes" cardi for my friend's little one.
I love knitting these as they are quick to do and don't take a lot of concentration!

I have managed to finish off 12 ATCs and will be posting them out with Annie's to all those who asked to swap - and one or two more who we know love to receive them.
If I need to make more then my old dumfing machine will need to see a bit of action!

Have a great week and thanks for calling by.

WOYWW

WOYWW 7th anniversary ATC swap.
I know we only need to make one ATC to pass on to the person with a* after their name on Mr Linky BUT...
Annie and I love to swap with anyone who wants to swap with us, so we usually make about 20 or so.
I already have a dozen or so folks who have asked to swap so don't forget to leave a comment, if you haven't already done so, telling me you want to swap with me. Annie and I will be posting ours out together and we are happy for you to return yours to either of us and we will pass them on.

OK - so what have I got to show and tell this week...
A little cardi and "new baby" card for my friend's new grandaughter...

AND you might see a picture like this on Tilly Tea Dance's blog. Here are just some of her beautiful pictures on my dining table, ready to load into the car for delivery! I have been helping her to get her work mounted and framed. I love the little ones in tiny box frames don't you?

Well that's it for this week.
Thanks for calling by.
Don't forget to let me know if you want to swap ATCs.

Finished by Friday and a couple of smiles

Firstly - my two little cardigans - all finished and buttons added etc. I love this little pattern and I just think the Sirdar "Tiny Tots" wool suits them perfectly. It was a bargain from Kemps Wools - check them out they have some great offers.

Next is my old faithful Dendrobium.
I have had it for about 10 years at at some point each year it throws out these pretty little blooms.
There are 4 fully out and 3 more to come.
They are just so daintily pink!

And below is just a little chuckle for you.
Ooops - have to rush - I need a euro!!!

Subject: the British penny.
EU Directive No. 456179

In order to bring about further integration with the Single European
currency, all citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Northern Ireland must be made aware that the phrase
'Spending a Penny' is not to be used after 31st December 2013 ....

From this date onwards, the correct terminology will be:
'Euronating'.

Thank you for your attention

Happy Friday!!

WOYWW

Just a little more knittting....

Good morning all!
Thanks for joining the WOYWW blog hop and for calling in here to see what I have been up to.
I am sorry to say-  not much sewing room activity again, this week.
I will get back to it eventually. I seem to have had a few days of "event and activities".

We saw The Railway Man at the cinema and had lunch out last week.
Then my lovely son-in-law treated my daughter and me to tickets for the Strictly Come Dancing show at the Birmingham NIA. A totally brilliant night out and tea at Cafe Rouge!

Along with visitors and a funeral this week, I doubt I will be doing much crafting.
Of course Monday is my day spent with Annie and the twins - much fun and hilarity there each week!!

So, all you see on my table is the wool that I bought to continue a few little knitting projects.
One little cardi is finished and another is on the go.
The Crofter wool is for a little hoodie, I think.

Well, thats it for this week - see you next week.
Thanks for calling by.
Have a good week.

WOYWW

Well here we are half way through January already!
I hope you are all managing to keep clear of coughs, colds and the nasty weather.

My table hasn't been used for nearly a week.
I have been busy with little knitting projects but my machines have been idle.
I need to get a creative boost!
I have tried Pinterest but I seem to end up wasting time looking at other folks lovely crafty ideas but not doing any of my own!
Maxine decided she wanted to exhibit her needle felted pictures at the Montgomery Old Bell Museum Gallery so that will be an exciting little project for me to help with this year. I think she will probably be there at the end of July so I will keep you updated - just in case anyone feels the urge to visit the quaint little town of Montgomery.
So ... today you can see some of the little mounted needle felted pictures and a few of my little "dumflings" on the right. The two knitted items are just a tiny shrug and a cardi made from some of my wool left overs. I will probably send them to charity. I had fun with a bit of hand stitching on the pink cardi. I just need to find 3 pink buttons to finish it off.

That's it for today.

It's amazing what crafty folks get up to out there!
Have a good week.

WOYWW - well stuffed drawers

Good morning and welcome to Twiglet's WOYWW - Pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in the crafty blog hop - you never know what you might see or find out from these crafty folk and you may even find a new friend or two!!
Today I thought I would show you my little knitty makes.....

A little knitted hoodie for my friend's grandson.
It's my favourite Sirdar Baby Crofter.
I love the shades of blue/turquoise.

And this little "In threes cardi" is knitted in some left over wool from when I made the same one for Lexi.
I will donate this one to a good cause.
Some little girl will be pleased to get it I think.
AND my crochet hexagons which I have parcelled up for LLJ to send to the charity collection mentioned on her blog here last week. Pretty colours - they were left over from a little blanket I made for Annie's grand children several years ago. Like many of my left overs they tend to sit waiitng patiently in a cupboard until someone can use them. I never waste anything!!

Lastly just my table from a different angle with a few more of my makes, machines and little crafter's storage pots Maxine gave me for Christmas. (Just don't look at my well stuffed drawers!!!!)
He he - yes I will be going on a post Christmas diet!

Have a great week and thanks for calling by and leaving lovely messages.
You are a fab bunch!

Finished by Friday with a smile

Three little finished items that make me smile!
Little Katie Morag dolly now has some hair - she complained bitterly about the cold until I finished stitching her lovely copper brown hair in place.
Each one seems to be better than the last but they take about two days to make so really I just make them for fun, because it's what I like doing.

Some folks wanted a better picture of my little needle-felted robin.
He still needs a bit more "dumfing" with my spiral needle-felting needle to tuck in all his stray fluff  feathers!
I made him at the workshop with Gretel - Middle of Nowhere blog - she makes amazing little needle-felted sculptures. He is just a tear shaped ball of brown wool roving needlefelted and then details added. He will be hanging on my tree this Christmas.

Lastly, the cheery little pink "In threes" cardi for Lexi.
It is made in DK and is just enough to give an extra layer of warmth without being too bulky.
She loves pink!

Hope you like my Friday show and tell and that it has raised a smile too.
Join in with Annie's smiles over on her "A stitch in time" blog.
Have a great weekend.
