WOYWW

 Good morning all.
I hope you have been managing to dodge the heavy Spring showers - we have certainly had lots of them over the last week but the sunshine in between has also been lovely.
My table is quite tidy this week as I have been busy with other things and knitting in the evenings. I will post some of my knitties on Friday.
So - on my table is one of the pretty little vintage embroidered table cloths I found at the car boot and a jolly little tin that had the buttons in that you can see below. I just love a button tin don't you?

The patterns are unused ones from my stash that I have put on ebay. I just thought they might be of use to some of the folk new to sewing following the upsurge after the Sewing Bee.

The little pink purse is bursting with ATCs ready for the 5th WOYWW anniversary. Let me know if you would like to swap. I think Annie and I will post ours together to save postage.

Well that's it for this week.

Thanks to all who left me a comment re sunflowers v poppies - Maxine was amazed at how many loved her sunflower picture! She now thinks she will make another one for her exhibition.

Have a good week.

WOYWW

Happy Wednesday everyone - well what's left of it!
I am late posting this week.
I had two lovely crafting days with my daughter Maxine, here at home, on Monday and Tuesday.
Followed by today helping Annie play with the twins.
So, I am sorry to say WOYWW came last in my order of priorities!
BUT here I am ready to show and tell.....

Here is Max, already beetling away on my machine on Monday.
We were making our gorgeous little draught excluders using offcut furnishing fabric, leather flowers and vintage buttons, with just a flourish of hand embroidery here and there.
We had such a brilliant couple of days. We always get on really well and make a great team - she is good at the designing/colour combo side of things and I am there with the technical expertise - he he that sounds grand doesn't it!!! (Older + wiser, I think don't you?)

And here is my out door work table today!!...

These are just a few of our patchwork draught excluders waiting for their stuffing.
I know it's not likely that anyone will be thinking of buying draught excluders in this sub tropical weather but in a few weeks time I am sure the need might arise for some!

OK short and sweet and better late than never.
I will be round to check out a few desks later when I have had time to chill with a long cold drink.
Have a great week in this wonderfully sunny weather.

WOYWW

Happy Wednesday everyone and an especially happy day to Annie and her hubby for their wedding anniversary. Below is the little card that I made for them.
I used snippets of vintage embroidered linen, lace, buttons and beads.

It doesn't seem long since their happy wedding day when my little one was toddling round in a little smocked dress and pink coat. This week that little one will be a beautiful bride herself - where have all those years gone?!

As you see, my table - above - is back to normal and my lace box is overflowing onto it.
I have been making little card toppers or maybe ATCs using snippets.
I have a spare day next week so I will try and make a little bundle of ATCs ready for the WOYWW 4th anniversary swap. Follow this link for Julia's info.

OK folks - busy week this week so I will dash.
I might not get round all your desks this week but will do my best.

If you are following my Friday Pheasant saga - pop back next Friday for the follow up - it's amazing!!!
Thanks for calling.

WOYWW

 Good morning all! Happy Wednesday!

My table today doesn't have lot to show really. The pretty vintage button tin has been filled with lots of vintage buttons ready to go on ebay sometime.
The pretty spotty fabric was a car boot bargain - I think it is laura Ashley - it has a lovely soft feel to it and may become little girls' jumpsuits - they seem quite popular again.

The cardboard box contains the 17 items of dressing up outfits heading for North Yorkshire.
Below are some of the "princess" skirts and cloaks which are now all packaged up ready to go.

AND lastly......... Annie was given a huge piece of dress denim which we thought would make perfect little items for the growing babies. So, on funday Monday, I made a little pair of jeans and a tiny denim skirt. Once I know they fit nicely I shall make another pair of jeans for the other baby in the family and two bigger skirts for his big sisters.
Short and sweet today. I am hopefully going walking and out for lunch. Usually when I decide to go walking it pours with rain - fingers crossed that the sun shines this time.

UPDATE- My view today April 4th -  Snowing like mad at the moment -Walking cancelled then!!!!!

My view on Sunday April 1st

OK - let's pop over and see what the lovely badge sender Julia is up to in her Stamping Ground. I tried to visit as many desks as I could last week - apologies if I didn't make it to yours and thanks for all the kind comments. x Jo
