I chuckled at how many folk said they were looking forward to seeing the cake last week.

Well here it is - Minecraft is Ben's favourite thing at the moment. I cheated and bought the toppers on line but nevertheless he was delighted with it. It was value for money because after his party with his best buddy the week before, I then re used the toppers for his own little cake/candles event on his actual birthday.

This week I made a little card for a friend's niece...

It's just a little fabric collage with some free machined detail and her name in free machining too.

It's been cold and wet this week but we did mange a lovely walk at Attingham Park on Monday. There were definite signs of Autumn - trees almost on the turn and lots of sweet chestnut and conkers.
It's a lovely spot for a walk.

Well that's it for this week.

Enjoy your week.

We spent last week in the Lakes.........

Early morning mist in the valley.

The mountains from Coniston.

The steam boat ride on Coniston.

Derwentwater

Crummock water

The weather was perfect and we were so lucky to see the Lakes and the Mountains at their best.

We walked every day and really enjoyed the fresh air and company.

I might be back to normal service next week but this week I have lots of jobs to catch up on. Max needs some admin and Ben needs a birthday cake!

Have a great week all.

Yesterday I dropped off a parcel with 10 more twiddlers for the hospital dementia team.

Here are my two latest...

I am just hoping that the tiny moths that I have found in my lounge this week are nothing to do with my wool stock! I took myself off to Lakeland for one of their carpet sprays so I hope that's the last I see of them.

Short and sweet today.

I am busy making birthday cakes ready for Ben's party later in the week. just my luck to be baking on one of the hottest days of the year.

I hope you are enjoying the sunshine.

Another week another Wednesday! Where does the time go?

I had a few little sewing jobs this week. Some not so much fun - repairing the rear of my hubby's gardening jeans so that he isn't exposing himself whilst trimming the shrubs.

Then, my friend asked if I could use some stretchy fabric and make a little swimming costume for this rag doll. She made 3 dolls for her grand daughters but her machine doesn't sew stretchy very well.

So I adapted the pattern and had a trial run - it's quite cute isn't it.

Below are the colour bags for all my twiddler yarn. My SIL gave me a bin sack full of yarn this week so I sorted it and really was quite overwhelmed by the quantity! It will last a good long while and I won't need to buy any for ages, so that's good.

Here are the last two bobbly twiddlers that I knitted last week.

So, that's me for this week.

Have a good week.
