WOYWW

Happy WOYWW everyone!

This week I have been mostly quilting.

I am not a great quilter but was asked to make another little puff quilt play mat for a friend of Maxine's.

I always enjoy making them but glad when they are finished.

In the evenings I have been knitting my second Olympic themed twiddle mitt.

Swimming, boxing, gymnastics, skate boarding and diving feature on this one.

Lastly, look what I found in my garden.....

I thought it looked a bit like a dragon so I added a daisy eye and crocosmia flames ( you might need to click on the picture to get the full benefit!)

My friends and family have left me home alone this week - I even cleaned my oven yesterday - I need to get out more!!!

Well that's my nutty nonsense for this week.

Have a great week.

WOYWW

Good morning all.
I'm on Nanny duty this week so this is a pre- loaded quickie!

Firstly, my Olympic twiddler - as promised.....

I hope you can recognise... gymnast, high jumper, footballer, basket ball player and a beach volley ball player, I have started another one with different athletes. Ben was very impressed so I thought the idea was worth another attempt..

Below is my first foray back to normal entertainment...
Last week I went to an outdoor performance of Macbeth at Shrewsbury castle. It was a perfect evening and we enjoyed a picnic and a couple of glasses of wine before the performance.

The cast:  Lord Chamberlain's Men -  seven lovely young men taking on all of the roles - some playing 3 parts!

It really was a memorable event and if they come to a place near you, I would recommend it.

The backdrop of Shrewsbury castle, as the sun set behind it, helped make it a most atmospheric performance - only slightly marred by the sound of a train pulling into Shrewsbury station just below the castle!!

Have a good week all.

WOYWW

 Just a quick post today.

I have been busy with admin for Tilly Tea Dance. She is re-stocking at The Bog Centre at The Stiperstones. I have been labelling and pricing up her stock for her. It's so lovely to be able to help her out again and relieve her from some of the mundane jobs so that she has more time to craft.

I really love the tiny flower embroideries that she has made.

My crafty activity has been a bit limited.

I have started my Olympic twiddle mitt but it will take a while to finish, I think.

This is one of my latest Footie related mitts.

So that's it for this week.

I hope you are all well and enjoying watching our amazing Olympians at work.

What talent we have in our country!
