Friday Smile - and finished by Friday!

The view is fine
The sky is sunny
There's snow on the hills
This Spring is funny!

My hot cross buns
 Are rumbling my tummy
And here is Snow Bun
Playing Easter Bunny!!!

This is my latest bunch of dollies.
They have proved very popular with the tinies in our family so I have made a couple of sets.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend everyone.

WOYWW

Good morning all!!
I hope it's not too cold and snowy where you are.
We have had about 20cms of snow but all roads are clear so it's not really a problem to us.
I feel very sorry for all the farmers round here who are busy lambing. I guess they may lose any that they can't get into shelter.

My table is covered with dolly mayhem!

I found the idea on Flutterby Patch.
Eli made little dancing dollies inspired by Julia Donaldson's book Paper Dolls. (author of The Gruffalo)

We always make paper dollies for our little ones so these fabric ones (all link handswith velcro) are just an extension of that idea.
Annie showed the twins the proto types that I made last week and Sam's response was... "Wow!"
What a poppet and he is only 18mths old.
So here is my third batch of dollies - these are going in the post for my great nieces/nephew who have chicken pox at present. I thought they would be fun to play with/ count etc.

They are only made with tiny scraps from my scrapbox - a bit like the scrapbox dollies (- another idea from Flutterby Patch) but no beads or buttons etc so safer for tinies to play with. Their features are all hand stitched and the hair and decorations are all securely stitched on.

Well that's it for today.
I am going to make a few Easter cards now, ready to post tomorrow when I go to see Annie and the twins.

Have a great week - keep cosy.
Join in the blog hop over at Julia's Stamping Ground - there are lots more happy crafters out there!!
Thanks for calling in and leaving lovely messages.

Friday Smile

Happy snowy,  wet Friday everyone!!

These are the scissor sisters.
Twiglet and Wipso!
Twiglet the blonde on the left and Wipso with the tufty steel grey hair on the right.
Twiglet, a bit taller, folds her arms under her bosom whereas Annie tucks hers on top!
What a pair!

WOYWW

Where did last week go?

Another Wednesday and time for a trip over to Julia's Stamping Ground to check out a few super crafters desks and see what everyone  has been up to.

Well, I almost just posted this as an "out of office" notice today!

Not much has been going on in my craft room so I thought you might like to meet my little owl doorstop that I was given at Christmas.
I love owls, so this was a very appropriate gift.
It was badly needed because, even though I kept promising to make one for myself, I didn't and was using a large reel of thread to hold my door open!

I have managed a tiny bit of sewing and some knitting but I gave both items away before I took a photo - hopeless memory!

So, here is just a sneaky peek at something I have been making for a friend's granddaughter. More pics next time.

Have a great week.
Thanks for popping in here to see what I have beeen up to.
It's lovely to hear from you and I will try to get back to you through the week.

WOYWW

Just a little bit more quilty fabric on my table today.
Annie found the mousey bits and bobs and now I just have to find a few more pieces to combine with them.
The pile on the right hand side will probably make a nice girly quilt.

Jo has blogged about them on her LillyBo Quilt blog.
It's wonderful to hear how they have been given to the poorly little ones at hospital in Liverpool by the CHICS group.

My latest finished quilt is below - I found the bright butterfly fabric and thought it would be perfect for a really cheery quilt and bag.
Of course I had to make a little fabric butterfly to pop in the pocket.

I hope you are all keeping cosy in this wild wintery weather.
I love the bright sunny days that go with the flurries of snow but that North wind is pretty chilly!!

Have a great week and thanks for popping in to see what I have been up to.
I will be round to visit as many desks as possible later.
Come over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in!

Finished by Friday and smile

Just my latest little card to make you smile today!

My neighbour has become a grandma so I made this little card for the new baby.

I haven't seen him yet but he looks a cutie in his photos.

Happy Friday everyone.

WOYWW - lots to snoop!

Good morning all.
I snapped my table laden with goodies yesterday when the sunshine was beaming through my window. It was a very frosty foggy morning but the afternoon was just the most perfect day.
Lots for all my WOYWW friends and others to snoop today....

My latest LillyBo Quilt is finished and so is the little tote bag for it to go in.
One of Annie's kind customers saw what we were doing and gave us this gorgeous little beanie kitten to pop in the pocket. There are some lovely folk about aren't there.

In the centre you can see the latest little knitted hoodie that I have just finished for my neighbour's new grandson. I bought a snazzy pair of jeans to go with it for him. Babies don't seem to wear pastels much these days do they?

In the front of the picture is the satin wedding horseshoe made for one of our blog buddies.

So, as you see, I have had a busy week. Thank goodness that cold has gone and I have bounced back to full strength!!!
I hope you are all well and enjoying life.
I am determined to get around a few more WOYWW desks today so I am nipping over nice and early to Julia's Stamping Ground to see what she is up to first.
have a good week.

PS
This was my view one misty moisty morning this week.....

Friday Smile

Sisterly love!
These are Annie's two granddaughters wearing the little cardigans that I have just finished.
They love the cardis - and each other too by the looks of it!
How quickly little ones grow up these days.
As yet they haven't caught chicken pox - amazing really when you know that their little cousins have just gone down with a second attack of the spottiness in a matter of weeks.
Here's hoping they are all back to good health soon.

Have a great weekend.
Thanks for popping by.
