WOYWW

OK folks - sometimes a girl has to have a Spring clean in the sewing room!
My table is empty and my shelves are all dust-free.
And while I had a bit of clear space I put my craft fair items out. This is about all I have - so - if I want to fill a table at Montgomery Summer Craft fair - then I think I need to get crafting!!
You can see better pics of them all in our blog shop if you are interested.

These are my latest little knitties for the "Fish & Chip babies". I just couldn't resist adding a few lazy daisy flowers to the one set.

And these are the last three dresses which I made with the fabric the lady at the carboot sale donated for the cause. That's three more little girls who will get a frock via the "Dress a girl around the world scheme". I only have a few small pieces of fabric left now so I guess I shall have a rest and stock up when I spot anything suitable.
Short and sweet today but very colourful!
Have a great Wednesday blog hop - I am off to Julia's Stamping Ground to see what you have all been up to this week.

Two brilliant chill-out Saturdays

Last Saturday I went to a really enjoyable furniture painting class at Edie's in Shrewsbury.
I took daughter M and friend T with me and we had a great time beside the River Severn learning how to create hand painted items of recycled furniture.
It was a beautiful sunny day, lovely venue with really helpful tuition from Mel and spent with excellent company.
T painted a child's chair with a little flower fairy picture for her grand daughter, M painted a lovely little mirror with a sea-side design for her spare room and I re-vamped my CD shelf.

It was a relaxing, very satisfying day and I can recommend it to anyone who fancies upcycling an item or two.

Yesterday was another brilliant day spent in the company of M. We have such a lot in common and had a good giggle as we set up our stall at the Montgomery Craft fair.

We were well supported by our friends, some of whom had travelled from Shrewsbury to enjoy the delights of shopping and lunch in the pretty little town. Thanks to them for making the effort and supporting us and thanks to Tina for popping over from her shop Indigo Moon and purchasing items from M.
It was rather quiet after lunch and all the stall holders packed up and went home early, which was a shame.
Nevertheless, we sold quite a lot, so Sisters Crafty Creations and Tilly Tea Dance now need to re-stock the shelves!!
Here are a few of the items that M still has on sale......

If anything catches your eye and you think you might like to get a few early Christmas presents sorted, then just email me -   twiglet517@hotmail.co.uk  and I will send details/prices etc..
Or check out Sisters Crafty Creations and Tilly Tea Dance

So two super Saturdays. The only thing that could have made them better would have been Wipso's company. She has been a bit pre-occupied - as you all know, but things are looking up, so hopefully she will be free to join in with our next chill out Saturday!!

WOYWW

Good morning all!
Firstly, an apology for not visiting anyone last week.
I think Annie and I both felt a bit shell shocked after the events of the last few weeks and neither of us felt like blogging very much.

However, this week, things are looking better and we have a few things to celebrate.
Thankfully, M & co are home and settling to family life and so we are all breathing a huge and very grateful sigh of relief.
Annie has had other worries too and even these seem to be sorting themselves out slowly.

AND today is a special birthday.......
so help yourselves to a large glass of bubbly before you go!!
I won't be publishing a birthday portrait so you will just have to imagine what this old dear looks like - but I will say, I have coloured my hair specially and don't feel anywhere near as old as I am!!

My room is loaded with boxes of our crafty items, all ready for the Montgomery craft fair on Saturday.
I can hardly move in there but need to make a bit of space, so that I can make some pretty bunting to decorate our stall with.

My daughter M is coming with me and she has great plans for setting our stall out. We have lots of pretty things to sell so, I hope we get a good turn out. Last year it was at the end of November, on a bitterly cold snowy day - it can't be that bad this year can it?

And here are my latest little knitties for little L who is now well over 4 lbs.

Over to the Stamping Ground then - let blog hopping commence!
Have a great day - x Jo

Craft fair goodies!

Here are just a few of the goodies we are taking to the Montgomery Craft Fair on Saturday!

All the items in this picture have been made over the last year and are already in our blog shop.

(Click on the Poppy picture link on the right of my blog if you would like to check out the rest of the items in the shop!)

The items below are not in the blog shop so you would need to leave a message in my comments and I will get back to you, if you would like to buy any of them. (Postage extra)

The sock dolls posed so nicely for this snap.
Snow bunny snuggled down in her own cosy little bag and Zebra thought she would blink when the flash went off, so she kept her eyes wide open!
Scruffy sat quietly for a change and the others just mooched in the corner.

Sock dolls, like these, are not toys for children under three, as they have buttons and attached bits and bobs.  Snow bunny in bag £10.50
Others £7.50

These little tissue box covers come with or without a box of tissues. ( Cheaper to post without)
£5 with Kleenex cube
£3.50 without.

My last two items are made from re-cycled sweaters.
The cushion is made from a pure wool, made in Scotland sweater. It has a front, buttoned opening and is about 12" x 12". £18

The tea pot cosy is made from a gorgeous pure wool Fairisle- style jumper and has a detachable brooch in toning colours on the front. £9

Wipso made these gorgeous little Christmas creatures.
The little Christmas mice have ribbons so that they can hang on your tree. They are about 3" tall.£2.75

The teddies can also hang on your tree and have a little poem as well.£1.75

WOYWW & TVTMWT

This is the state of my work room today!
Busy getting ready for next Saturday's craft fair at Montgomery, so my room is stacked out with bags of things ready to go (will post more pics of them tomorrow).
Bags and boxes everywhere!
I need to start this morning with a huge tidy up and sort out before I start any more crafting - and what am I doing...... blogging this post and then reading a few of the 150 post that you wonderful WOYWWers put up every Wednesday. I never manage to see all of them but I do enjoy popping in to as many as I can. If you want to join in this mad blog hop, then go to the WOYW Julia, chief organiser's blog and follow Mr Linky.

Two other pics to share...
TVTMWT
The view through my window today...

Woke to a hard frost outside - but a lovely sunny morning.

This male woodpecker obviously felt the need for an early breakfast on the peanuts!

See you all later - have a great WOYWW!

Christmas craft fair items.

Wipso and I have been busy making all sorts of crafty items for our Christmas craft fair in Montgomery Town Hall next Saturday.
I thought I would post a few pictures each day so that you can see some of the things I have made.
If you have been following my blog you will know I have been recycling sweaters and have made lots of different items.
So here are two cosy, little, hot water bottle covers. I think they might sell quickly if the forecast for snow this week is correct!!

WOYWW & Montgomery Craft Fair

Good morning all!!
Thanks for all your comments last week - I think I managed to visit about 50 of the wonderful WOYWWers during the week. I don't know where the time goes. I must try and get round a few more this week!!
Join in with the desk snooping bunch led by Julia the snoop group organiser - go to her blog and follow Mr Linky.
Just the usual view of my table today, with a few car boot bargains.
In the centre is a little journal book which I am going to cover. Its sitting on top of a new make-up bag which will make a useful little bag to hold all the bits and bobs for a craft activity when I go down to Wipso for Fun day Monday. (Although this week we had fun day Tuesday so that I could enjoy play time with baby L. and little P. They are such poppets!)

On the left is a new hot water bottle that I am about to make a cosy cover for. I am going to do two of them and will probably put them in the Montgomery Craft Fair on 27th Nov in the Town Hall. Wipso has been making some lovely Christmas items so check out Wipso's blog to see what she is up to!

In the bottom of the pic are a few of my card toppers made from a recycled sweater.
The lovely Christmas cards on the top left are by Julia Crossland. She is an illustrator who paints the most beautiful little water colour pics. She is selling her cards and gift tags from her blog.

Well, now I need to get busy sorting and labelling items for the craft fair. I hope all our local blog friends will pop over to Montgomery to see us on the 27th. It should be fun - it sounds as if there will be lots of lovely hand- crafted items on sale.
Have a great week everyone!
