WOYWW

Welcome to my WOYWW desk for today.

I seem to have had few nice crafty sessions in my sewing room this week

I have made a cover for a little journal using my recycled denim and some pre-loved embroidered linens. Then I used the scraps for a few cards for friends and family.

And then. . .

What lovely folks fellow crafters are.

My neighbour gave me this fab bag of leftover yarn for my twiddlers. . .

And a friend passed these beads on for Maxine. They will be perfect for embellishing her pictures and for workshops

Ben helped me to decorate his Mum's birthday cake. Here she is running over the Shropshire hills. We thought the candle looks like an Olympic torch.😀

So that's it for this week.

I will be posting out my WOYWW 14th anniversary ATCs with Annie's again this year and have made 14 of them. So, if you would like to swap, let us know. I think Annie is compiling a list 😀

WOYWW

Good morning to all the WOYWW desk hoppers and anyone else who pops in to see what I am up to.

This week I am making workshop packs for Tilly's "Shropshire Hills" workshop. It's quite therapeutic laying out the layers of merino wool and it's very satisfying to see what they manage to achieve with each pack.

I have also just finished another little cape- pullover as a gift for my friends granddaughter. They look lovely on and I am sure they make a cosy extra layer on these cool Spring days

Lastly, two of my friends are celebrating golden weddings soon so I have made little collaged cards for them. It's a good way to use up some of my fabric stash - well at least some of my stock of tiny fabric scraps. The flowers on top are just scraps trimmed from old, faded, embroidered linen that was just too nice to throw away.

That's it for this week.

I hope you are all well -  have a good week.

WOYWW

I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend.

We had good weather for a couple of days so could get out and about into Shrewsbury and our garden.

We watched Max and Ben run the 10k in the park on Saturday, helping to raise funds for the local hospice. They ran together and managed it in under 54 minutes. Awesome!

We also managed a couple of lunches out - always a nice treat. We did think prices have risen quite a lot but that's the norm these days isn't it.

My latest twiddlers are all ready for the hospital.

I am now knitting two more cape pullovers as the first ones looked totally gorgeous on the the two little girls who received them.

This colourway is even brighter.

So that's my show and tell for this week

Have a good week everyone.

WOYWW

 April already!

Goodness, how time flies these days.

I thought I would share my spare work table this week....

I had a little visitor for a sleepover and we had a special job to do, ready for his Mum's birthday later this month. It's lovely to have quality time with him. He is an early riser, so we actual finished our task at 6.30 am when we were both bright eyed and full of creativity!!

I will have to show you his finished work after the event, just in case she checks out my blog

And then, for those of you who love quilting, here are just a few of the fab quilts we saw at Powis Castle. . . .

We could only take photos of the ones hanging in the gallery. The rest of the Kaffe Fassett quilts were arranged around the castle rooms on beds, chairs etc and looked splendid in situ. The colours were so vibrant and perfectly matched the colours and themes of the rooms.

So that's it for this week.

Have a Happy Easter everyone.
