WOYWW

 Good morning all.

My sewing room has seen very little action for a week or two.

Last week we had a few days away with old school friends.

We visited Skipton Castle

 and East Riddlesden Hall NT

and The Bronte Parsonage at Haworth.

The weather was perfect and we had 3 lovely days.

This week I am helping Tilly with some admin. I have been putting together workshop packs and mounting some of her stunning, felted and  embroidered  mini landscapes.

My latest twelve twiddlers are all set for the hospital...

So that's it for this week.

I shall probably be enjoying the tennis for the next week or so!

Have a good week.

WOYWW

Good morning all.

Do you remember the beige boucle yarn that I showed you last week?

Well, here it is hanging out to dry.

I used a variety of acid dyes to get shades of greens and purply pinks as requested by Tilly.

She was really pleased with the end results and I think they will work well in her wet felting and for use on her workshops.

The other thing I want to share is this..

Years ago I was given lots of polyester flags. I have cut the logos off and now I am left with yards of thin fabric and have no idea what it can be used for.

If anyone has any clever ideas I would be grateful. It seems a shame just to scrap it but I really can't think of any purpose for it. What do you think?

Well that's me for this week.

I hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather with more to come I think.

This week I am watching the tennis at Queen's (only on tv not the real thing!)

Have a great week.

WOYWW

Good morning all!

The last little ATC and card to arrive came from Susan in Australia. Thanks lots Susan - they are perfect and all so beautifully finished.

Yesterday I was sorting out the wool boucle yarn ready to dye for Tilly Tea Dance. She has been very busy wet felting fibres to create background pieces for her pictures. If you are on Facebook you will be able to see some of her little videos here.

We bought this boring beige as a job lot at the Wonderwool event in Builth Wells before all the lockdowns. It will look much, much nicer when I have dyed it in a variety of greens. Max chops it up to use as foreground herbage in her pictures.

My latest twiddlers have been simple ones with lots of textures and shades.

These take a lot less thinking and planning time and are easy to do - just not quite as much fun for me but I am sure they will come in useful up at the hospital.

So that's it for this week.

I hope you enjoyed your Jubilee celebrations. It was lovely to watch all the events over the weekend but I think Paddington and Her Majesty stole the show!

WOYWW

Good morning all.
Just a little bit of twiddle mitt fun to share with you today.
Shrewsbury hosts a wonderful Flower Show in August so I thought an appropriate twiddler would be in order. (Front and back here)

The other twiddler is an" Under the sea" one.

I hope the jelly fish isn't too scary - I just thought its wispy texture might be fun.

Last but not least..

My lovely ATCs from Sylvia,

Our Queen of Snoop, Julia. Robyn and Tracy.
Thanks lots to everyone. They are a fab depiction of our "Connection".

I think I will buy a little cork board like Jan, to display them all. They deserve pride of place in my sewing room.

That's it for this WOYWW.

Have a happy Platinum Jubilee.

xx Jo
