WOYWW

 Just a quickie today...

One of my latest twiddlers, inspired by all the lovely Spring colour around at the moment.

This week, I am trying to get my head round an idea for my WOYWW12 celebratory ATCs.

It's such a shame that we can't all meet up - yet again.

I hope that maybe later in the year we might be able to manage a get together but at present it doesn't look too hopeful.

I did manage to see  LLJ in a zoom meeting this week. It is so lovely to catch up and to know that even with all the misery of the past year, our friendships are as strong as ever. That's what 12 years of WOYWW has done for us so we will be forever grateful to the lovely Julia for keeping us all on the straight and narrow (well maybe some of us!).

If you think you would like to swap ATCs with me let me know. I usually make about 20 so, first come first served, I suppose.

It is always a delight to receive your tiny works of art and Julia's idea of adding a local picture postcard is brilliant.

Well that's it for this week.

Take care and stay safe all.

WOYWW

Don't you just love getting something lovely through the post!

This week I had two beautiful "Thank you" cards from Lisa- Jane and her daughter.

It was wonderful to receive some feedback from someone who has enjoyed having one of my "Tiddler Fiddlers". That's what it is referred to in it's new home and the way it has been put to good use brought tears to my eyes. And just look at those two gorgeous cards. The drawing of hands knitting a twiddler is beautiful and Lisa- Jane's card is perfect. Thanks lots both!

This week I thought you might like to see my twiddler in progress. I always start with the picture half and then quickly whizz to the end of the 22 inches with stocking stitch for the inside.

Here is the finished seaside twiddler.

AND then, to save the mess on my new ironing board cover, I created a crafty cover for the end so that I can Bondaweb safely. I also find starching small items tends to clog up the iron a bit so I left my spray out to remind me that I should use my cover for that too.

Well, we celebrated our wedding anniversary this week and had two sets of visitors in our back garden - wonderful!!! We even managed an al fresco haircut for my little sis who said she was desperate and couldn't get booked in anywhere. There's no end to the talent in this crafty household!

That's it for this week.

Stay well and stay safe all.

WOYWW

 Good morning all!

I hope you had a lovely Easter weekend.

It was cold but still beautiful in the sunshine and wonderful because we managed to see the family for an hour in the garden.

My desk has seen a little bit of embroidery action this week!

I started some of the surface stitching on the little collage kit that Max bought me for Christmas.

I had Bondawebbed all the fabric pieces into place. Unfortunately that makes stitching a bit trickier as the fabric becomes stiffer to stitch through - hence my ceramic thimble. It also meant I had an iron to clean and I really think I need to make a new ironing board cover - I know it's not just me who makes a mess with Bondaweb - melting it onto the iron when I accidentally put the stuff upside down and then attach it to the bottom of my iron. I do have a little scrubbing pad called "Erase Away" that cleans it quite well. (Dampen it and rub it over the bottom of a cold iron)

Anyway here it is....

And below are two of the latest Twiddle muffs
A Shrewsbury Town footie one and a DIY one.

Not as exciting to make as my little "character" ones but probably just as effective.

So that's it for this week.

I hope you are all enjoying a bit more freedom.

It's going to take us a while to get back to anything like normal but, as long as we are careful, maybe the Summer will be better.

Have a good week.

xx Jo
