WOYWW

 Good morning all.

Here we are again. Don't these weeks fly by?

Join in with our desk share over on Sarah's Craft Shed.

My sewing room has seen a tiny bit of actual sewing this week. It seems like the first time in a while.

I must admit I was a bit rusty and had to unpick a few bits and broke a needle. I was sewing recycled denim to make some little purses.

It's nice, soft fabric to cut out and work on but I must remember not to sew over metal zip ends!

I have also been spending time making workshop packs - 28 packs for Tilly's "Toadstool" workshops.

She has booked her workshops for next year so I shall have plenty to keep me busy. I love being able to help out. If you are interested in a needle felting workshop check out Tilly Tea Dance workshops here. She would love to see you.

Well that's it for this week. I'm a bit late posting today. I had a quick catch up with Annie yesterday afternoon and completely forgot to organize my WOYWW post.

Have a good week.

WOYWW

Last week just flew by and here we are on Wednesday, sharing our workspaces with all our WOYWW friends across the globe.

Firstly, I must apologize for not managing to visit any work desks last week. It was a strange week for all sorts of reasons, culminating with the loss of one of our elderly friends. I have a feeling this week may be similar.

I have managed a little bit of crafting. It is the best stress buster isn't it?

My friend asked if I could make some little coin purses for her to give to her grandchildren with some holiday pennies.

So, out came the recycled denim and my box of trimmings

Strangely, even though each purse started out with a similar piece of denim, they all seem slightly different in sizes!!

Here is my latest twiddler.

Under the sea...

Lastly, just look at this gorgeous rose.

It began life climbing up my Godmother's summer house. Then progressed to my Dad's garage wall. My little sis took cuttings before they moved and we had one each. Mine has really flourished this year. Hopefully we can get it to climb up our wall too.

Well that's me for this week.

Have a great week everyone.

Today my table is covered with prepared materials for Tilly's McFelty workshop at the end of the month.

I packed wool "fluff" into individual bags so that each felter has all the colours they need. I also made mixed skeins of Mcfelty yarns and I dyed yarns and wool curls to match. So, I think Tilly should be all sorted for the event.

In my spare time I have made a few more denim items.....

And lastly, a seaside twiddler.

So, now I have a bag of twiddlers and a box of Friendship hearts to go to the hospital.

I hope the weather is being kind to you. We have had a few bright days so far this week. I hope we stay clear of snow.

Have a great week.

Happy St David's Day to all our Welsh friends!

Our daffs - well the Tete a tetes -  are in full bloom to celebrate.

Welcome to a a little more denim delight.

I have enjoyed my latest sewing time and my pile of jeans is slowly dwindling.

So this week I have had fun making  a parliament of owls....

I found the idea on Pinterest and just used denim and some furnishing fabric scraps. I stuffed them with a couple of layers of wadding and stitched round leaving a raw edge. Most of them have been snapped up by the youngsters in our family. They are about 4 inches tall and seemed to have instant appeal 😀

Another Pinterest idea turned into this fun item...

I think I might keep this for myself or sell to the highest bidder. 🤣

So that's me for this week.

Have a good week all.

 Good morning all.

These weeks are flying by.

It's a quiet week this week as it's half term here and I am not needed for child minding.

So, I have been working in my sewing room with jobs for Tilly, trouser shortening for a poorly friend and a few more recycled denim items.

Jan suggested a draught excluder....

This one looks good in my lounge. It should have been a few centimetres longer but I measured the door width but forgot that stuffing would take up some of its length. ( LLJ - stop it!)

Then I made a few pencil cases and a little credit card purse.

Lastly, a little lavender heart.

All simple little projects that don't take much time or effort really. Just nice to do and rewarding to see the pile of denim diminishing.😄

Well that's all for this week.

 Another week, another Wednesday.

This week I had a sort out in my sewing room.

I found a big pile of old denim jeans that I had been hoarding. You know how it is. - I could see potential in them but just never got round to doing anything with them.

So, I decided that I would try and make a little something as often as possible until  I had used all the old jeans.

My first attempt was this little zippy purse.

And then, I made a little hang over bin for Ben's desk in his bedroom.

Of course, I still have plenty of jeans left for more little items. I do have to say thanks to Annie who keeps sending me Pinterest ideas but would like to remind her that I said "small items". She sent me a link to denim covered arm chair and a large denim patchwork quilt! 🤣🤣

So that's me for this week.

Apologies for not getting to many desks last week.

I promise I will try harder this week.
