WOYWW

Good morning all

Well here we are again, moving into our 17th year of friendship and sharing. It was lovely to link up with our friends who joined us on our Zoom meeting on Saturday. Thanks to Sarah for setting it up for us. It gave Annie an excuse to pop round so that we could link up together. It's always good to spend time with my little sis!

I've had another busy week sorting artwork for Tilly. Here are some little felted sheep pictures all ready to go to a gallery in Yorkshire.

Below is a tiny orchid that Annie gave me three years ago. This week, the three little buds have popped open to reveal these stunning tiny blooms.

Now....

Remember my motherboard? Spider suggested that I scanned it so that it could used as a background paper when printed off. So here is the result.

If anyone would like me email the scan to you, then email me and you can have it.
So that's me for this week.
Last night we had a tremendous thunderstorm. We had about half an hour of really heavy rainfall, so our gardens will be breathing a sigh of relief at getting a long drink at last. I hope some of it managed to soak into the parched ground

WOYWW

 Welcome to WOYWW.

I have actually managed a little bit of crafty sewing this week.

I am helping Annie to use some of that lovely donated fabric. She gave me a piece of quilted fabric and some matching fabrics. I have made a little tissue box cover. They look nice on a desk or dressing table so I thought I would make a few.

Then Max called round with a bundle of yarns that she wanted me to dye, for use in her felted pictures. They were mixed, pale colours and I dyed them in one mix of green. It always surprised me just how different the shades turn out. Some were a bit pale so added more dye and popped them back in. It's always a bit hit and miss but that's what I like about the random results.

Lastly, this is a tiny orchid that Annie gave me. She took it from her own plant and it was just two tiny leaves last year, when she potted it up. Now I have three beautiful little blooms on it.

That's me for this week.

I hope you have enjoyed the cricket and tennis as much as me!

WOYWW Happy New Year!

Happy New Year all!
I'm typing this as I cough away 2019 and welcome in 2020.

I'm usually quite a healthy girl really but have had one of the Winter bugs doing the rounds and been coughing away since Boxing Day! So, it's been a tedious week of keeping warm, sipping honey and lemon and spooning down the vile cough medicine my dear daughter brought for me. Today, I ventured out for a little walk so hopefully it will blow the cobwebs away!

The flower is one of the two orchids in full bloom in my kitchen and they certainly put a smile on my face every day.

I hope you had a lovely Christmas and that 2020 is a happy and healthy year for you all.

Looking forward to meeting up with some of you in June!!

xx Jo
