Happy Valentine's Day and a smile for Friday

Just two pretty lavender hearts for Valentine's Day.
I made them with some soft grey wool check fabric trimmed with pretty vintage baby ribbon and broiderie anglais.

And then a little chuckle for you too....

A nun, badly needing to use to the restroom, walked into a local Hooters.
The place was hopping with music and loud conversation and every once in a while 'the lights would turn off.'
Each time the lights would go out, the place would erupt into cheers.
However, when the revelers saw the nun, the room went dead silent. She walked up to the bartender, and asked, 'May I please use the restroom?
The bartender replied, 'OK, but I should warn you that there is a statue of
a naked man in there wearing only a fig leaf.'
'Well, in that case, I'll just look the other way,' said the nun.
So the bartender showed the nun to the back of the restaurant.
After a few minutes, she came back out, and the whole place stopped just
long enough to give the nun a loud round of applause.
She went to the bartender and said, 'Sir, I don't understand. Why did they applaud for me just because I went to the restroom?'
'Well, now they know you're one of us,' said the bartender, Would you like a drink?'
'No thank you, but, I still don't understand,' said the puzzled nun.
'You see,' laughed the bartender, 'every time someone lifts the fig leaf on
that statue, the lights go out.
Now, how about that drink?

WOYWW and a "500th post" celebration give away.!!

Well, believe it or not, this is my 500th blog post!
I decided a little celebration giveaway would be a good idea, so above are a few of my latest makes which will be parcelled up and sent to whoever wins it.
If you want to enter then just leave a comment telling me..........
what you would fill the little desk tidy/gift holder with if you were going to give it to someone.

The little item on the left is a tissue holder for your handbag and of course on the right is one of my little woolly lavender hearts.
If you want a better look at the desk tidy then just scroll down to yesterday's post below.

My desk is covered with some of Maxine's needle-felted pictures that I have brought home to mount and frame ready to sell. We are doing a craft fair before Christmas.
Also, my fabric stash is still waiting for me to get going with!!

I will try to leave a quick message on as many desks as possible so you get a chance at the giveaway.
Popping over to Julia's Stamping Ground now to add my name to Mr Linky.
Have a great week

Thanks for calling.

WOYWW

Firstly today, I just want to say....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNIE!

My little sis is 21 - again!!!!
Have a fab day and a lovely weekend of fun and laughter.

My table is  just a complete mess - covered with fabric left over from this week's projects......

Here are just a few of them

I made these little lavender hearts with some of my fabric bargains - I love this soft grey wool check and just added a few bits and bobs of vintage lace and buttons from my button box. They are filled with Shropshire Lavender - just follow the link if you are interested. Joanna has a brilliant service from her farm in North Shropshire.

These are the lavender bags that I made using my vintage embroidered cloth.
 AND believe it or not...
these little bags are made from fabric left over from my 70's wedding dress!!
Well that is all blogger will allow me to show you today.
I have had a busy week so far with lots of sewing jobs finished, including more draught excluders, a little skirt for Lexi and some patchwork squares for the Children in Need Quilts - see here if you want to know more.
Never a dull moment here and no time to get bored!!!
Have a good week and thanks for popping by.
I will be checking out all your crafty activity later on my WOYWW rounds.
