WOYWW

Welcome to my WOYWW desk for today.

I seem to have had few nice crafty sessions in my sewing room this week

I have made a cover for a little journal using my recycled denim and some pre-loved embroidered linens. Then I used the scraps for a few cards for friends and family.

And then. . .

What lovely folks fellow crafters are.

My neighbour gave me this fab bag of leftover yarn for my twiddlers. . .

And a friend passed these beads on for Maxine. They will be perfect for embellishing her pictures and for workshops

Ben helped me to decorate his Mum's birthday cake. Here she is running over the Shropshire hills. We thought the candle looks like an Olympic torch.😀

So that's it for this week.

I will be posting out my WOYWW 14th anniversary ATCs with Annie's again this year and have made 14 of them. So, if you would like to swap, let us know. I think Annie is compiling a list 😀

WOYWW

Good morning to all my blogger friends - WOYWW or others. Thank you for popping in to see what I have been up to.

Maybe you will remember that Annie put a picture on her blog last week,  of me sorting through some lovely fabric samples Margaret sent us.

We challenged each other to come up with a few different items.
I did manage a little afternoon crafting one day last week and this is what I came up with.

It's an A5 journal cover...…

I have lots more little pieces so I need to get my head round a few other items - I bet Annie has been busy and probably has made loads of lovely things - you know what she is like!!!

This is the latest bagful of twiddlers for the local hospital.

And here are some of my Chocolate orange Christmas pud covers - all ready to donate to the charity that Graham does voluntary work for. They made a useful amount of money by selling             them last year.

The tiny, beady stars are Christmas decorations made and given to me by one of my oldest buddies. We called to see her in Ruthin yesterday and she showed me lots of amazing crafty items that she had been busy with. She is a quilter so had a beautiful baby quilt and a fab tweedy quilt which looked so cosy. Pity I didn't think to take photos!!

So that's what has kept me out of mischief recently.

I hope you are all well and keeping cosy in this chilly weather.

Have a great week.

Shocking pink!

Is that what we still call that luscious, bright, fuchsia pink colour?

Well anyway - that's the colour of the satin that I decided to use to make the book cover for M's bright red/orange/pink dumfed fabric.

I thought a loose slip-over cover would be the best design because then it is re -usable on any A5 journal.

The book we used has plain paper pages and a stripey red cover, so it matched nicely. The cover certainly turns a plain book into something special - quite sumptuous in fact!

I will take it to show M when we go out for Mother's Day lunch on Sunday and then probably pop it in the blog shop on fun day Monday.
