WOYWW - on a misty moisty morning.

What a beautiful morning it is now that the mists have lifted. I started the day not being able to see past the hedgerow but within minutes the sun had burnt away the fog, leaving wisps of mist swirling across the hillside.
I love these sort of mornings, although it does seems to mark the end of summer!

Before I show you what I am up to today - how about seeing what was in my garden yesterday!!! For those of a squeamish nature - look away now!   Its an Elephant Hawk moth caterpillar, I think. What a beauty!!

Here is my project of the week. I bought some bargain, chunky, Icelandic pure wool at the car boot sale and I decided to crochet a little bag and then felt it in the washing machine.

The fuzzy one below is how it looks at the moment.
I am going to make a denim strap and line it with some pretty fabric.

Enjoy your day and I will pop over and see what you are up to thanks to the wonderful Julia who organises us all!!!

Just another Sunday

Again, thick fog greeted me when I drew back the curtains.
The grass and trees were coated in thick frost.
Birds were swooping to and fro enjoying the seed and bird cake on my feeder.
My black and white Greater Spotted Woodpeckers stabbed at the peanuts.
Eight Long Tailed Tits squabbled over the sunflower seeds until suddenly the Sparrow Hawk called for a "take-away". He missed, but sat scraping frost from the branch of the tree he chose as a lookout point next door.
The fog lifted and the sun lit up the hills, tempting me out to take a few snaps of the hoar frost sparkling on the hedgerows and the soft misty fields where the sheep were grazing.
Just another Sunday!
