WOYWW

 Good morning everyone.

I thought firstly I would share my Remembrance Day poppy twiddle mitt.

This week I have pottered in my sewing room and made a  few Christmas cards.

Then, I had a text from Annie to ask which machine embroidery stitch I used to edge my cards. (We both have the same machine)

I replied with the row and the pattern number but she was still struggling as the numbers had faded on her chart.

In the past I made myself a set of little fabric books with each pattern numbered so I can see how well they work.

As Annie didn't have this handy resource, I took a photo of my little chart and sent it to her. Now it's printed and stuck onto her machine so at least she can quickly access her pattern! Sisterly love.🥰

Just a quick post this week. I am still only working on half power as I still have a silly cough and it saps my energy. It is a bit better, so fingers crossed it goes soon.

Have a good week.

WOYWW

Good morning - Happy WOYWW!

I thought I would start with my Nativity twiddler this week...

I enjoyed knitting all the little characters and then added a few sheep and palm trees to twiddle.

I think I have 12 mitts to drop off now.

Below are just a few of my Christmas card designs for this year. I like to vary what I do so that it's not too much like a factory roll out. I think I made about 10 of each.

Lastly, I am chuckling at the things I do sometimes.
This crumpled paper was packaging in a big box that came through the post with a gift for a family member. The brown paper looked too good to throw away - a total waste of the earth's resources! So, I ironed the 7 metres x 30cm length ( Yes 7 metres in one parcel). I think Ben will enjoy printing it as Christmas wrapping paper so that it will, at least, get one more use before being re-cycled in the normal way.

Enjoy the next week of Christmas busy-ness.

I think I will make mince pies today - maybe mini ones with an almond topping. Yum!

Finished by Friday 7 and day 7 of advent.

It's taken me ages to tackle a few Christmas cards this year. I just couldn't find inspiration anywhere.
Then I saw the gorgeous Christmas wreath that Gina (of Fan my Flame blog) had made. See it here in her Etsy shop- Ginxie - it's worth popping over for a look.
She made it with handmade fabric poinsettias and Christmas roses and it really is stunning.
So, I thought I would use those flowers for my cards.
I must say that, although they looked simple, they took ages to make but I enjoyed playing with my sewing machine. The photos are poor as its been so gloomy today,
This one is a little wreath made with a collage of Christmas fabric snippets and red flowers.
Lastly - the little hoodie that I made for Steve. I have just received a photo of him wearing it and he looks a real poppet - so snuggly and cosy. I adapted the pattern for chunky wool.
Ok that's it for today.
Pop back tomorrow for Advent day 8.
