WOYWW

Good morning - another WOYWWednesday has whizzed round!

This week I have been making my annual fund raisers - Katie Morag outfits for World Book Day. I popped them on ebay and any funds raised will go to our local cancer charity.
The jumper already has bids on it so that's good.

The little skirt is made to look like a little kilt in cosy brushed cotton.

Hopefully, I am back to full bounce this week!!
I have more energy and even managed a 4 mile walk around Attingham park on Sunday.

I am rushing to get organised today - Tilly is coming to do some wet felting and I have Ben later after school.

I hope you are all well and not too blown away by the storms over the last few days.

WOYWW

At last, a spare minute to pop my WOYWW post up for you all to see.

I have been busy looking after Ben - well, playing in the garden on a crisp sunny afternoon would be a better description!

My table has the results of my knitting marathon over the last few days.
Two little fancy shrugs for my great nieces' dolls and a Katie Morag aran sweater.

I am knitting a couple of these little sweaters to go on ebay for World Book Day.
If I can find some suitable tartan fabric I will make a couple of Katie Morag kilts to go with them.
Lots of little folk love these little outfits so I hope I find time to do it.

Oh and just peeking out is a tiny Tilly Tea Dance embroidery that has been left behind on my work desk. It's pretty - I wonder what she is going to do with it!!

That's it for this week.

Hope you are all well.

xx Jo

WOYWW - 401

 Better late than never!
I seem to have been AWOL for a week or so.
Today I had to take a 100 mile round trip to see a consultant about my face!! So, yet again, I am a bit late getting round to my WOYWW posting. ( Nothing serious - just an op to remove a blip - I only have to wait 4 months for the op!)

Here's what I have been up to on my sewing desk this week.

As World Book Week approaches I decided I would make a Katie Morag style Aran jumper and a little tartan dressing up skirt. They seem popular for little ones and I usually donate my profit to a charity so it's a win/win situation. The Katie Morag stories by Mairi Hedderwick are used in school and she even had a tv programme created around her character. I have also made several little Katie sock dolls and I know she is loved by lots of children. See her here on my blog - http://twiglet5.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/katie-morag-sock-doll.html

Below, I have been knitting for a new baby in our family. One of our favourite cousins has just become a grandad so, this little cardi is for his beautiful little grand daughter.

That's it for this week - apart from wishing all our blogging buddies our very best wishes - if you need an extra hug from us all this week then here it is!

Have a great week.
Thanks for calling by and leaving your lovely comments.
