Christmas is creeping up on us.
It's a low key affair in our house but I do enjoy making my cards and a few gifts and also try to get out and about to enjoy the festive decorations in the locality.
So, each year we visit Attingham Park to see the beautiful Christmas trees throughout the mansion.
This year was even more lovely than last year. The details in the way each tree has been individually decorated and themed to suit each room.....
Hand made tiny leather boots, dusters and Cherry blossom polish tins in the boot room...
A wonderful creation with a Victorian theme in the dining room....The stairway was really stunning with a tumble of parcels cascading down the stairs ...We followed it up with mulled wine and a shortbread - perfect! My crafty activity has involved stuffing and rice. No, not cookery (not my forte!)
I spotted an idea for a phone stand and thought they would make a useful little gift. I made one for myself to pop my phone on when I'm busy in my sewing room....
As you see, I am a messy rice stuffer! I loved the result and it holds my phone nicely, though I think I shall be vaccing up rice for a while 🤣
So, that's me for this week .
My cards are done and I've even posted some of them!
Have a good week all.
Love and all good wishes to Neet.

Wow, whoever is in charge of the Attingham park decorations has real flair, the rooms are beautiful and I loved the room themed idea! Lol at you getting the rice everywhere, I may possibly have done the same with plastic pellets, the little so and so’s get everywhere. Hugs to you all,

My favourite places to visit at this time of the year are the garden centres as the ones round here really go for the decorations. Hubby likes to put the tree up so I am happy to let him. Our tree is full of teddy bears, not quite sure how that happened. The phone stand looks like a great idea, shame about the rice. Wishing you a happy woyww. Hugs Angela x8x
Attingham looked fab, I especially liked the shoe cleaner tree in the boot room, it made me smile. Your bean bag phone holder’s a great idea, even if you did spill a bit of rice.
Happy WOYWW

I do like your phone holder. Attingham certainly has some different Christmas trees. We do like to go around the garden centres to see their Christmas displays. Hugs Angela #11
brilliant rice phone stand Hugs Bj#13
A messy rice stuffer! Made me laugh, sounds like me moaning about following a Delia recipe! I can vouch for the usefulness of the phone stand design, i bought one at a craft fair a couple of christmases back and had to de-rice it for a wash after a while, it was so useful. And forever after not really so well stuffed!! Attingham looks marvellous, i love the boot room tree, reminds me of shoe cleaning hour at boarding school...but the staircase is breathtaking isnt it, wow!
ooh the joys of spilt rice, its inevitable to be honest, lol. the Christmas trees as the mansion look good and that staircase, wow. Kyla
After reading about the Attingham trees we will try to fit a visit before Christmas. Thank you for the visit idea. A friend made a very similar phone stand for me a few years go; great for when you're busy working and don't want to put your phone down.
Have a lovely week.
