WOYWW

 Good morning all.

Another week has flown by and my sewing room has seen very little activity. I have done a little bit of yarn dyeing for Tilly...

However, I have been hindered by a miserable insect bite on my leg. It started itching and was hot and inflamed so I had to get antibiotics for it  I'm not usually troubled much by insect bites but this one is nasty!

While walking to meet Ben from school I saw this on the railway bridge. .

I'm guessing a local artist is going to paint a mural of a steam engine on the freshly painted wall. I will up date you when it's finished.

So that's me for this week

Looking forward to a sunny Bank Holiday weekend

WOYWW

Good morning all
 Happy 17th WOYWW anniversary!
I can't believe we have been sharing our work desks with our blog friends for 17 years. We have had some lovely times over the years and shared all sorts of crafty activities on our Wednesday blog hop.

To celebrate the life of our dear friend Neet I have made some funky coloured ATC sized card toppers. I added a bit of sparkle with some beads. I think Neet would have liked them.

They are all different and I've glued them onto cards.

So, apart from the colours in my crafty activity, I have enjoyed the colours in my garden.

The last pic is the first bloom on my clematis Josephine. Always a cheering sign that spring is here. I even heard a cuckoo on my walk at Attingham!

So,  let the sun shine and the colours of Spring cheer us.

Happy 17th WOYWW anniversary - long may it continue and a big thank you to Sarah for keeping us all on track.

WOYWW

Good morning all.

Proud mum moment here this week

We spent Saturday at the Shrewsbury Flaxmill Yarnies event held in the old dye room.

It was a super day. The room was filled with beautiful dyed yarns and fibres.

Tilly was invited by the organizers to show her work and of course demonstrate her craft.

We met lots of lovely folk, many were interested to find out about her workshops too.

She sold quite a lot of her artwork, cards etc so she was thrilled. It was a great opportunity to share a  quality day together.

This week I am putting together workshop packs and having a couple of days out and about.

Lastly, I know you will all be feeling sad at the loss of a treasured member of our group. Neet was a lovely lady, so thoughtful, caring and such a creative artist. We loved meeting up with her and Chas at our crafty get togethers. She will be sadly missed by us all.

Here is a little selection of Neet's ATC characters that she sent me over the years. All very quirky and very Neet. The card in the middle is the one that I had written and was ready to post to her on the day we heard the sad news. RIP dear lady.
