WOYWW

 Good morning all

I have managed a few hours in my sewing room this week- yay!

Firstly, I made a background piece with an overlayer of sparkly net.

Then I created a little clematis collage

I used machine embroidery to add detail on the collage.
Oh and I forgot to say....

I did it six times over and then made each piece into a little pocket that I slipped over a little notebook.

I think they will make a perfect little gift.

On Sunday, we visited one of our local National Trust properties - Powis Castle.....

It really is a great place to walk round on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The big lawn had lots of games for the children to enjoy. The views across the Welsh/Shropshire border were lovely.

So that's it for this week.

The fabric collage is beautiful Jo and makes a perfect cover for the little notebooks, definitely a lovely present for someone! I’m glad you managed to find something useful out of that pile of fabric that I sent to Annie (I’ve managed to split it five ways, there was so much of it!). I loved Powis Castle (Chateau Doddy) when we visited a few years back, interesting place.

Annies "little pile" looks rather lovely on a Sunday afternoon. Hope she invited you in for tea.
Love the little notebook covers. Clematis in that colour reminds me of one we used to have. I'm not much good with clematis sadly.

I am so in love with the fabric book covers but you make me feel guilty that I don't do enough sewing these days. Looks like a good day out too. Happy woyww, hugs Angela x6x
