Good morning all.
Last week I dashed off a quick post because this was where I was heading out to....Lake Vyrnwy in Mid Wales. It was a misty moisty morning but eventually the sun broke through the clouds lighting up the gorgeous autumn colours on the sides of the lake.
Today, my room is half empty as I had to pack everything away so that our window fitters can replace our windows.
So, this week I have been mostly hand sewing.
I saw an idea for tiny embroidered Christmas wreath cards. I couldn't resist having a go...
Here is a little close up. It's not perfect but I enjoyed the slow pace of a bit of hand stitching.
And now I'm making some of Jan's chocolate orange covers - here's Herbert.....
He took about an hour and a half to make and I need to stock up on chocolate oranges now!
So that's me for my WOYWW show and tell for this week.
Next week Maxine is coming with me to Sarah's funeral. She was really sad at the loss of Sarah as she had become a good friend and had attended lots of her workshops. It will be good to go together and we will take with us all your love and sympathy to Sarah's family.

Your embroidered wreath is so pretty, it’s a mission of mine to get back into hand stitching again. Herbert is very handsome! It’s amazing how simple yet effective the pattern is, they’ll be breeding.

Wales looks beautiful, what a gorgous photo. I hope you enjoyed your break. Patience certainly paid off with your Christmas wreaths. I love them and as for Herbert, who could resisit him, especially if he's filled with chocolate orange.

Gosh, that lake photo is beautiful Twiglet, a spell in such an environment is so good for the mind and heart! As is slow stitching, I spent many a hot afternoon slowly making felt bunting this year and really felt the the benefit - the wreaths are just lovely, I’m perfectly sure I can see the calm and live in every stitch! Sarah’s funeral will be hard, I’m so glad that you won’t be there alone, I would really appreciate it if you’d carry the WOYWWers respects with you.
